This is a stunning fan! You have to see it 'in person' to appreciate the beauty of it. It looks very 'designer' and expensive (the price was well affordable!) We had it installed by an electrician (two things to know about electricity - it's invisible and it can kill you, lol!) and he had it installed in no time. All excited - the fan worked perfectly (quietly) immediately so then we tried the lights. One pull on the (beautifully decorated) chain and only two of the lights lit! LOL! - it's a 3-way!!! Second pull of the chain lights three bulbs and a third pull of the chain lights all five bulbs. It is packed for shipping better than any other product I've ever purchased - not one chip, or dent, or ugly spot even though the box itself looked like it had a bit of mishandling. It is absolutely gorgeous and works impeccably. Do not hesitate to buy this fan. (Wait until your friends see it!)

AS MUCH AS I HAVE SOME DISAPPOINTMENTS, I STILL LIKE THE UNIT. The Amazon description table of features clearly articulates that this unit is both remote and chain operated. The PDF 'owners manual' on this Amazon page has photos of a pull chain unit. The main photos at top do not. They must have changed design because my unit matches the main photos, there are no pull chains nor are there any provisions for them (no places for it). I did report this to Amazon. I was disappointed that the remote control can't dim the lights. If you examine the photo of it there is no provision for it. A unit with pull chain control allows to use less than the 5 bulbs. This issue is on me because I had simply expected dimmable lights, and the description was silent on it. My bad. And speaking of lights, the description of the unit says "New Bronze Remote LED 52 Ceiling Fans For.." Again, here I take some ownership. I would have expected it to come with LED lights based on this description. It came with 5-40w incandescent. On closer examination of the details of the unit that's what it says, so again my bad. Just wanted to give others a heads up. The installation manual that comes with it could be written better - the english translation was poor in places. However, I did get by. I found a FINXIN you tube install video that was very helpful. (The unit in the install video I found isn't exactly this one, but it's close.) Least you think I am unhappy, I am not. I could have been happier, but everything is relative. The fan is dead quiet (in a good way!), it looks absolutely stunning, build quality is good,and *love love love* the antique look. Really, at $179 it really is a lot for the money.

For this ceiling fan, my husband and I chose for a long time. Finally settled on this one. The material I received was really great. It was even better than the pictures. Metal material exquisite texture, jade white lampshade has a layer of light brown color, very classic style. The decorative pattern at the joint of fan leaf is also very beautiful. We really can't wait to see what it looks like after we install it on the ceiling. I consulted a lot of questions about electric fans before purchasing. The seller has a very good service attitude and always responds enthusiastically in time.

Worst ceiling fan I have ever bought and as a builder I have bought a lot. The parts are lightweight. Cheaply made. Hard to install. Once it is up it makes a noise when fan blades are on. If it did not cost me so much to send it back I would have. Going to trash it.

The mounting bracket in the canopy it’s bigger than the existing electric box in the ceiling so it won’t fit. I went to stores to find a matching one, but they are all standard and to small. So I bought a new canopy bracket instead. Also the instructions shows flush mount but it’s not.

Finxin's Customer Service & Support is top notch and prompt to assist with questions. I Love, Love this ceiling fan/light with a remote included. It's very good quality, a great value and very "Elegant" in design. I highly recommend this Beautiful ceiling fan/light made by Finxin.

The Finxin customer service has contacted me after this review, They are apparently new to the US market and offered to acquire and send any parts I need to make me happy. They also are going to look into making changes to their next generation of fans to fix some of these issues. So I will say they have great customer service. I liked the style and you can acquire a mounting bracket here Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan Mounting Kits or at Menards. The HUGH issue is the mounting bracket is too big for a normal light fixture electrical box. You can't modify the bracket to work either. This kit doesn't even include hardware to mount to a electrical box. It has tap cons or machine screws for mounting so the manufacturer must not think the most logical way of mounting the fan is an option. I was able to use the mounting bracket from the fan I was replacing but If not for that I was screwed right off the bat. The ball that fits into the mounting bracket to hold the fan is made of rough metal and the slot it fits into is rough metal also. I thought this would squeak so I used the part from my old fan as well its made of hard plastic. The fan blades included in this kit have a choice of cherry or mahogany. but the sides of the blades are painted lavender, WTH? I used the fan blades from my old fan as well. Everything else was or works ok. If not for being able to use parts from my old fan this fan kit would of been a disaster therefore I would not recommend buying this fan kit.

I love the look of this fan, it puts out good amount of air. It's a little loud on high speed but quite on low setting.
