I was skeptical at first because I wasn’t sure if it was going to fit my computer but it did and I am so glad

It corrected the problem, working fine.

I would always have to take my new laptop back to my office to charge it when the battery was low. I wanted another power cord so that I could use it in the living room without having to worry about a low battery. This one does the job. I wasn't sure it would work with my model, but when I looked at the information on the charger that came with the laptop, it seemed to match up with the information on this one. It's 45w. When I plugged it in and waited, I could see the percentage on the battery icon going up. It doesn't get hot and it works just great. It's also very heavy duty with a thick cord and solid plug and the elbow-shaped connector swivels out of the way for when I need to plug in a dongle next to it.

Slightly smaller than the original chord - these chargers are so affordable and pulling cables at home and work is a pain. I wanted one for home/work and a 3rd that serves as backup in my laptop case or backpack for travel. Keep an eye out for if the charger is overheating - mine got warm but never concernedly so. 2 is 1, 1 is none, and 3 is for me! 5* for value - I'll update if anything changes! 1* = Trash 2* = Disappointed overall but wouldn't make the effort to return it unless it was really overpriced 3* = Overall fine product but wouldn't recommend it to my friends 4* = Would recommend to a friend but it could have some improvement or better price 5* = Perfect or near perfect for the price point

I had been using this charger for a few months. I had to stop when it started getting extremely hot to the touch. Price was good, but product did not last more than a few months before becoming a fire hazard.

Had to send our HP Laptop to HP for service. When I got it back, the power adapter plug was pretty bent up (but it wasn't bent when I sent it in). While it does still work, I don't know how long it will. So I got this 45W adapter that fits it as a backup. It plugs right in as it should and powers up with no problems. I left it connected for a while and it fully charged to 100%. I feel confident that if the original HP power supply ever does quit or completely break off, then this "45W 19.5V 2.31A for HP Laptop Charger" will take over with no hiccups.

So, I unfortunately lost half of my laptop charging cord while we were on vacation recently, and I needed a replacement ASAP and got this one. It’s nearly identical to the one that I lost, and the only negligible difference is the feel of the plastic it’s made of. It works just like the original one that came with the computer, and the two sides fit together snuggly, so I don’t ever worry that they’ll somehow come apart when it’s in use. It works well, and I’d order it again if need be.
