recently bought the unni UN0585 Indoor Outdoor Thermometer and I’m really impressed. The large display is clear and easy to read, showing both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity at a glance. The wireless sensor works reliably even from my backyard, and the weather forecast icons are surprisingly accurate for such an affordable device. Setup was simple, and the adjustable backlight is perfect for nighttime viewing. I like being able to check max/min records and trends too. Overall, it’s a great value weather station that does exactly what it promises. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to monitor their home environment easily.

I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and am ready to give a review First, you need to know that batteries are not included. You’ll need 2 AA for the sensor and 3 AAA for the main display ( you can plug in the display too, it comes with a cable). I have lots of rechargeable batteries so I’m using batteries. What I like about it - it’s easy, pop the batteries and it works right away. I also like that I can switch the temp to C, what I’m more familiar. The digits are large. You can see it from a distance. It gives data for temperature, humidity and pressure. It has a history function and you can look back the last 12 hours. You can see the max and min temp and humidity. Helpful to keep track. I would recommend this product but would advise you to consider if you want just one sensor or more. I got this set that just has one sensor but the display can be hooked up to 3, I will consider getting extra, I was not aware of this option when I made my purchase and thought it might be good to know so sharing it here.

It took some hunting around the Amazon site to find a weather device with the right combination of features, power source, type of display, and size. I think I picked a good one. Four stars for now and if it holds up well, I'll update to five. The build quality seems solid enough even though the device is very lightweight. • Display Sitting upright on its stand, the base station's readout is easy to see 15 feet away when the backlight is at high intensity. I appreciate that the display of outdoor temperature is large and readable at a distance. • Batteries Be careful when you remove the battery cover for the base station. It isn't attached with a hinge and is very lightweight. Once you release it, the thing can go flying if you're pulling on it too hard. But eventually I decided to use the device on AC power to keep the display on all the time. I will leave the batteries installed. We had one brief power outage today and the device retained all settings due to the battery backup. As I recall one reviewer noted plugging the base station into a power bank rather than using an AC to USB adapter. I tried it with a couple of power banks but neither worked. So, it's back to the AC adapter. It will be interesting to see how long the batteries hold charge in the outdoor sensor during cold months. • Outdoor accuracy Don't know yet. But it is responding quickly to outdoor temperature changes. • Indoor accuracy The interior temperature displayed by the base station matches two other thermometers within a few tenths of a degree, although it took a while to reach the correct temperature following the setup. • Weather "forecast" According to the documentation, it can take as long as 7 to 10 days for the forecast feature to calibrate itself. The local weather service predicts rain for tomorrow. The weather station is predicting partly sunny at the moment. It's too soon to tell how accurate the feature is. • Setup and documentation Slightly confusing at first. I figured it out soon enough. The phrase "you can shorten the reception time of the weather station" (with certain buttons) is unclear. I wonder what it means. The instructions aren't entirely clear that when you want to change one of the major settings, first you LONG-press the button in question. You can also long-press the up and down buttons if you're making a numeric change and you want the value to change rapidly. Just keep holding down the up or down button. If the currently displayed weather (sunny, partly sunny, overcast, etc) isn't correct, long press the Weather button on the back until the weather symbol appears by itself on the display. Then use the up or down buttons to change the symbol to the current conditions. Press the Weather button one more time to save the change. Pressing and releasing the Weather button quickly toggles between displaying temperatures in °F. and °C. • Pairing the base unit to the outdoor sensor This was painless. I have only one remote sensor and didn't need to move its slide switch (the channel # setting) inside the battery compartment. The two devices began synchronizing just after I installed batteries in the remote sensor. After about a minute the synch was complete—no button-pressing required. Overall it seems like a good product and I can recommend it.

This is an ideal reliable wireless weather reporter for your house or apartment, loaded with displayed important info you need. The sensor is sturdy and can be located a considerable distance away from the receiver-monitor. After close to 2 years of use, I contacted the sellers. They impressed me with the quick and effective response to my total satisfaction.

Very nice weather station, which indicates temperature, humidity and barometer pressure. Easy to read and backlight. . Barometer pressure reading is slightly low versus the local weather report. I have contacted to company to see if this can be addressed. All-in-all this seems to be very good product. Too early to tell about the reliability.

I’ve been using this weather station for a short time, and it’s been working great so far. The display is clear and easy to read, and it’s very convenient to check both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. The wireless sensor connected quickly and has stayed stable. Setup was simple, and everything works as expected.

This is a great little weather station for a low price. Have used it for about a month to make sure it would last before reviewing. Bright, sharp black and white display that sits vertically (taking up less counter space), which is easy to read, unlike some of the color versions. AC pluggable keeps the display on at all times and you can choose your brightness option. You will need an outlet or power strip with a USB port. It displays Outdoor/Indoor temperature and humidity (only info I need here in Texas), weather forecast, and barometric info/averaging. It DOES NOT have time or date (just use your phone if you're confused). Without the clock/calendar all you need to do is plug it in, put batteries in the outdoor sensor and you're done - no pushing a bunch of buttons - just use it. I hope this lasts longer than the previous ones I've owned (from expensive companies). They seemed to last a week after the one year warranty ended. A really great buy at this price!

In size, shape and accuracy this is very similar to an AccuRite unit that I once had, and I was very impressed with that one. I very much like that the backlight is controlled by a sensor on top of the display; this serves two purposes - it keeps the batteries from draining needlessly, and it keeps the display from being an annoyance at night (it is very bright). One must be patient with the outdoor sensor, though, it takes some time to adjust to temperature and transmit that to the display. The outdoor sensor must be kept dry, either under a covered area or in an enclosure designed for the purpose (these are easily found). The "Weather" icon is not of great help as the weather may change several times before the display gets updated, but that is small worry as one can simply look out the window to see the weather. For the price, it is a very satisfactory unit.

Work perfectly, very accurate. Good quality and batteries last a long time. Sometimes the negative sign (-) for temperature disappear few seconds until next update. Otherwise all good!

Einfache Inbetriebnahme, Batterien in Sensor und Basis, der Rest geht von allein. Das Gerät kann ich mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen.

Works as designed, easy setup and no complaints!

Accurately reads the outdoor temp and humidity! I'm not sure how far you can get away with having the outdoor responder as mine is only going though 1 brick wall and a bit of insulation. That being said, I've had no issues with connections.
