Me encantó este producto, lo usé para exterior, y no importa ni la lluvia ni el sol, no se ha deteriorado por la cobertura de goma que tiene.

Trash
The plastic on this lock is cheap and breaks easily after just a few weeks. The lock itself seemed solid, though. Update: After using it for about a month and a half, the lock is failing to work. It doesn't want to lock or unlock and it's just a matter of maybe days before it just stops working.

Works great
I've used this for a couple of years now on an outdoor storage unit. I have had no problem with rain getting into it and because of the cover it's not too hot in the summer to grab and unlock either.

seals well
I bought this to replace the padlock on my spare tire. It is mounted under the vehicle and the old one got so dirty it had to be cut off to change the tire. This one has a thick seal on it and should be able to keep all the dirt and water out of it.

Great quality
Used to lock may backyard gate. Very well made, great quality and doesn’t rust or get damaged by water, rain or freezing, so far so good. I certainly recommend and buy again if needed

Typical dollar store quality locks are better.
My experience with Brinks padlocks has been that they are low quality and over priced but I needed a weather resistant/proof lock for my hi lift jack on my Jeep and this one was available and at a better price point than others (I now see why) I really wanted to like this product but its a really cheap quality pad lock with some plastic over it. My first impression was that this was a Chinese "knockoff" of an actual Brinks lock but seeing that the lock is indeed made in China I realized it is just garbage. It's supposedly weather resistant so I tested it. I used a misting spray bottle and gave it a couple sprays around the lock. Afterwards I gave it an inspection and noticed that the cover over the bottom of the lock had water inside. Enough that I believe if the lock was subjected to rain that it would fill with water and get inside the lock... Obviously causing issues especially in the winter. Seems like the metal used is subpar and the locking and unlocking of the lock is not smooth. I feel like I could break this lock barehanded if I tried. Also the keys were bent and had to straighten them before use... If you need a temporary lock and this is your only option then it will keep the honest people honest. I wouldn't trust it to secure anything of value. Better off imho to just buy a regular lock of another brand. Any other brand really. This was a waste of money.

Can't recommend after using
This lock has a plastic shell around a standard padlock, which is fine. But the shell unfortunately does nothing to protect the lock from the elements. Here in Chicago, we get a mix of snow and freezing rain and twice in the past month things got dicey since the lock did not want to open because it was completely iced up. If you have a blow torch or other way of warming the lock, that might work, especially since the plastic shell eventually gets brittle and breaks away leaving you with a standard padlock that you could have paid much less for. I have worried on several occasions that the key would break since the lock is hard to operate (key won't turn) in moderately cold conditions. Overall, I would just purchase a regular padlock and be prepared to lubricate and heat it as needed throughout the course of the winter. If you live in the desert, this lock may be a great option for you.

I have had this lock for a while now. The key lock works very smoothly. The lock so far has never frozen during snow storms. I would recommend it.

No good. The keyhole plastic cover traps in moisture and the insides rusted out. The key now barely fits inside the keyhole but the cylinder is rusted shut. Even with rust removal and wd40 would not help. I now have to cut it off. It lasted only a few weeks of the rainy season.

So far so good. I have used this in the winter with snow and cold and it works well. I was concerned about the lock freezing, but so far so good.
