Cut was pretty clean. Adjusting is a little cumbersome (you have to hold it steady and pull the wire on each side to adjust). Easy to operate and gets the job done.

So easy to use and clean! I've never made a layered cake before so I was anxious with my ability to cut a cake straight/even. This tool is so easy to use, I love that you can adjust where the wire sits so you can get the perfect slice to either trim the top or split in two even pieces. Didn't need much cleaning, a crumb here or there came right off with a quick once-over with a soapy sponge, I wouldn't attempt to clean it in the dishwasher though, I can imagine the wire getting warped from the heat. It's a great quality considering it's plastic and less than $10.

Difficult to adjust as the touchpoints tend to get stuck in the notches. Cuts fairly well, but the saw seems kind of dull. Wish I returned this sobre and got a wilton one.

I purchased this for birthday cake making as buying specialty cakes has become quite expensive. I found it easy to adjust to the level of cut/s I needed. The cut was clean and even. It was easy to clean.
