The joys of the world, one terrible map at a time – this is the ultimate gift book for the budding geographer or anyone who wants to have a laugh. Ever wondered about the average jean colour across the United States? Or what ‘pedestrians’ look like in Denmark? What unites Brokenwind, Upton Snodsbury and Crackpot? And have you ever tried to take a train in Antarctica? Well Terrible Maps is the book for you! Put together by the creator behind the tremendously popular social media feed, this is the ultimate humour book for the budding geographer in your life. From countries that eat their national animals to nations that have declared war on birds (and lost), Terrible Maps celebrates pointless cartography in all its glory. Don’t leave home without it! Review: Terrible Maps, Hysterical Book - It's been a long time since I laughed this hard while reading a book. The turn of each page takes the concept of maps and cartography to a new high (or low). The world today seems to be way too serious and out of control. This gloriously silly book makes us realize we are all basically clueless humans trying to make sense of this crazy planet we inhabit together. Get a copy for yourself and then gift a copy to a friend who needs a chuckle. Review: So fun - Such a fun book. My son with autism is obsessed with maps and honestly it’s helped him start to understand jokes, humor, and sarcasm better. He LOVES this book.

Such a fun book. My son with autism is obsessed with maps and honestly it’s helped him start to understand jokes, humor, and sarcasm better. He LOVES this book.

Great gift
Purchased as a gift. Flipped through it first myself (of course) and chuckled. Actually more pages inside than I expected. Recipient was happy with it. He said he wanted to "savor" the pages.

Hilarious!
My son loves maps. He is 16 and I got him this for his birthday. He stopped opening gifts to look at all the maps. And he and his 12 year old brother giggled away at each page.

So funny and entertaining
I got this book for my 23 yr old son who loves Geography. He is finalizing his college degree in hopes to teach Geography or History to Middle Schoolers. This book of bad maps is so funny and brought us a lot of laughter on Christmas morning. It will certainly come in handy w middle schoolers for a light hearted classroom moment

Funny
This is a funny book, but it got old after a while. Still would recommend as a gag gift. Clever!

My social studies teacher liked it!
He said, "Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, the book of maps is really cool!" I think that makes it 5 stars.

witty , absurd humour
I absolutely loved this book — it’s ridiculously funny and exactly my kind of humour. I bought the hardcover edition as a parting gift for my eldest son, who’s relocating overseas. Since we share the same warped sense of humour, I know he’ll have a good giggle over it. The maps are clever, sarcastic, and painfully accurate at times. Honestly, it felt like the perfect send-off gift… Highly recommend if you enjoy witty, absurd humour and don’t take the world too seriously.

Terrible maps and an even worse book
There’s a difference between stupidly funny and unfunny. This book is the latter. Barring a few genuinely witty maps, the rest of the book makes you wonder what’s so funny about this! Waste of money
