Great for live drums.
It has good low/sub response. Had to push the eq more on this mic than when using a Beta 52 or D6 but for the price it works extremely well at adding low punch. Feels built well. As an overall mic 3.5 stars but because of Price full 5.

Quite Impressed
I purchased this mic to replace a Shure Beta 91A Condenser that didn't give me much low end on the kick. Everyone noticed the difference right off. I will definitely recommend this if you want to get good sound from kick drums with a hole already in the front. I placed the mic screen directly in the opening with a desktop boom stand. Not sure how it will sound with ones that don't.
