I wasn't sure about this when I researched it, but when I bought my 2016 Toyota 4-Runner 18 months ago, I never imagined the storage was as bad as it is. We bought it when cars were scarce and we needed a car, so not much choice. I recently bought four Toyota 4-Runner console storage organazation items from Amazon. I bought a hidden storage insert for that useless armrest lid, a divider for the bottom of the armrest compartment, a divider tray that sits on top of the divider piece and this item (all are great). In my car, this item runs across the area between the open storage under the heat/cooling seat knobs and the cup holder/4WD knob. It matches the interior very well and has a storage compartment on the left and right side. See pics for a better description. Some reviewers complained about hitting it with their leg or brushing against it. My legs don't come close to it, so I assume long legged folks might have some trouble with that. This fits very well into the area and does come with adhesive behind the compartments, but I didn't need them. It stays securely there on its own and doesn't move. All in all, it will be great additional storage in a car that has very little front area storage in it.

Fitment is very good. Tape doesn’t hold but I didn’t expect it to because I’ve had these in my Jeeps and they never stuck. I prefer using a couple of Velcro squares on each cubby so that I can pop it out if I needed to. The Velcro adhesive adheres much better.

There appear to be at least two of these type of organizers available, with slightly different designs. I picked this one because I saw someone on a forum liked it, and because I thought the slight cut-out on the pockets would reduce any potential pressure on my leg. The first thing I noticed is that it is made of relatively hard plastic (ABS maybe). For whatever reason I was expecting one of the softer plastics. In any case, not necessarily a plus or minus, just an observation. I have a TRD Off-road with the manual shifter, and the cross bar just barely fits between the 4WD shift boot and the front of the console. So the fit is good, but not perfect because it would be nice to have a little extra space. I suspect there would be no issue for the dial shifter. I'm about 5'9" and I can say there is absolutely no pressure on my leg. In fact, I don't even realize it's there anymore, so that is a big plus. I haven't taped it in yet, and it stays in place just fine. The pockets are pretty big, bigger than they look in the pictures. I bought it mostly to have a place for the passenger to keep a phone while charging it and it functions well for that. I would buy it again.

This is a very nice piece that gives you extra places to stash stuff and especially gives a great holder for your phone! It's very well made and fits like glove. Some are concerned with the self-adhesive tape and whether it holds but it fits so tightly you don't need the sticky tape. And if it doesn't hold it will be easy to get some double-faced tape and stick it down.

Love the glove box divider. Before I installed it I had to take everything out to get anything. Now it’s easy access. Easy install too. The over the center xtra organizers I store my phone charger and things I need quick. Made good fits perfect. I would suggest other colors for the manufacturers. They have adhesive tape to stick on. Good buy!

Extremely helpful for additional storage in my 4Runner that has limited places for keys, sunglasses, phone. Looks like it's part of the car. I don't use the tape - it holds in place perfectly. Wish I bought this years ago!

Fantastic looks factory and adds that crucial extra space up front for easy access. I went a step further and lined the mating surfaces of the organizer with black kinesiology tape. It made all the difference with repaint to a flush tight fit and mitigate the possibility of scratching the console. Came out awesome .. it's very snug and I don't need the double sided tape. I can remove and replace the organizer in a second with no residual tape goo or scratches..

Great fit and storage- HOWEVER… the edge of this thing is rough and irritating as it rubs against your leg while driving. I had to send it back after a week, rubbed a raw spot on my calf. (I’m 6’3” with long legs, so willing to concede it may be a height thing.)

This item fits well in my 2018 Toyota. It adds in a lil storage in a vehicle with surprisingly little storage. I’d buy again for sure.

But the DOUBLE SIDED TAPE that came w it, is WEAK! Like it identifies as a sticker not a double sided tape! Had to use my own double sided tape. Glad I had it. Or else this would be a straight return back. But it fits like it’s OEM! Looks very sturdy. Strong plastic!
