Honeymoon In Vegas

This is truly one of my favorite movies. It isn't some grand, dramatic film or anything, but doesn't try to be. It is about a couple (Parker and Cage) who go to Vegas to get married. Jack (Cage) is reluctant to get married, but agrees so he doesn't lose Betsy (Parker.) Tommy (James Caan) sees Betsy in the lobby and she looks exactly like his deceased wife. A poker game ensues and Jack ends up owing the gambler Tommy a large sum of money...so Betsy is the payment (since Jack has no choice.) And the Hawaii trip begins. I won't give away any more, but it is very fun. The small role by Pat Morita and ESPECIALLY Peter Boyle are not to be missed. And even non-Elvis fans will like the score full of Elvis songs sung by many artists. And...flying Elvises!!!! oh yeah! My son who only knew of Nicholas Cage from action movies is now a fan. (I have since introduced him to Raising Arizona , Valley Girl , and even Vampire's Kiss !) It is just a fun movie with lots of great performances. My family often finds ourselves quoting this movie...(e.g., "you're just so blithe about it" "yellow then red!") This is SOOOO worth the price!!

Really cute movie. I love it. Cage really plays the part well. Excellent.

Funny and entertaining.

An older movie that holds up very well. Funny. Clever. Simple. Lighthearted. Just something fun to watch. Some funny moments. James Caan as a stereotypical (in a good way) Vegas mobster. Nice script. Good direction. Well shot.

Love this cheese ball movie! You really can’t go wrong with flying Elvis’s! Or as my dad would say, “Elvi” (plural of Elvis) You’ll also enjoy reminiscing on the Vegas of yesteryear! Most of the hotels shown don’t even exist anymore! Except obviously Bally’s where it was filmed! Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. My reviews are always my honest opinion and I try to include photos if possible. So, I got this edition because it said Multiple formats, and the other offerings had FULL SCREEN in the title. As it turns out, this edition is in FULL FRAME only. Pan and scan is obviously in use for some scenes. While this is a great movie, the majesty of the Strip and Vegas locales is truncated by the aspect ratio. Look for it in it's original Widescreen format, if you can find it, because it's obviously not on Amazon as I write this. 10/23/22

This was such a fun movie and the cast was awesome.
