I never thought this would work for my anxious dog at our vet visits. Our vet tried it and it was so effective in calming my dog that I had to get my own for him.

My dog was attacked by a loose dog and the event, along with the meds he was on after contributed to him developing OCD to where he was chasing any light he could find. I was literally cooking without lights on in the kitchen to minimize his reacting, we were living like mole people. I'm not kidding when I tell you I put this on him and he IMMEDIATELY calmed down. It's also really helpful when watching tv because he gets very worked up and tries to jump IN the TV and if he can't see it-no reaction. He doesn't seem to mind wearing it for short-ish periods of time and in the time we've been using it, it's taken away the reinforcement of the lights and he's almost forgotten about chasing the shadows and reflections-its working!

Mask arrived today and we put it on our Wire Haired Fox Terrier who is reactive to noises on the TV and movement of traffic when he is in the car.The mask did not bother him it all and he settled straight down and stayed settled during watching Tipping Point which he usually hates. Hopefully it will have the same effect when we are travelling next month which is the reason we bought it. The mask is a little big for him and the straps are very long but I didn't think the size down would be big enough. The clips are also quite chunky for my little man but will probably be ok for a larger dog.

Megan has been having the 'attacks' in the video while walking in daylight, but she's fine in fading light and at night. Vet has given no explanation for them, so foeced to find my own solution I thought this for £10 was worth a try. It arrived today and although she initially tried to get it off she settled down after a couple of minutes. The mask looks solid black but you can see through it, and the muzzle is flexible enough that she can still drink. She went over front door step with no hesitation, and walked in shade and bright sun with no issues at all. She can see where she's going (even at 14yrs) and still happy to sniff around the ground as normal, so doesn't seem to bother her at all. I've gone for XL because of the size around her mouth, even though the straps around get neck will need shortening a bit. One day might not seem a long enough trial, but she's not be able to go out like this for quite some time.
