With the price of a plastic BIC going for around four dollars at my local gas station there was no way to not justify this purchase (for $12). I love that you can replace the flint and continuously refill. Nice shiny finish with a pretty color. Also, it’s pretty cool that when you tilt the lighter downwards (say to light a bowl or cigarette) the flame gets bigger. This is my third purchase of a metal clipper… Not because I needed a new one, they last forever, but because I wanted a new color! Edit: Shown in pic, 9mo of (multiple X)daily use later and it is still going strong and only has the tiniest of visible surface scratches.

This lighter is exactly what I was looking for. I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it might be a little too long and cheap for daily pocket carry, boy was I wrong. It is the perfect length and size, it is light weight, it lights reliably, and is very well made. One thing I would have appreciated is a way to adjust the flame, however even without that ability this lighter is tops.

Looks nice, it's unfortunate that the newer clippers no longer have a flame adjuster.

Better off with a 75 cent lighter! This has been the biggest letdown I've ever bought. The lighter's fill and metal outer case is nice the ability to refill does work. But the lighter design itself it trash! With brand new clean flints and full butane the lighter misses the spark %99 of the time! You will develop a giant callous on your thumb while smoking less, so if you goal is to buy a lighter so expensive and useless it makes you quit smoking, this is the perfect product for you. If you are like me and just want a BIC quality refillable lighter, look elsewhere!
