ESR for iPad Pro 12.9 Case (6th/5th Generation, 2022/2021), Black

This tablet holder is amazing. Well worth the investment. I use it to stand the tablet on my couch, or on my coffee table. The magnet is strong enough for the support to not move even on a soft uneven surface. The tablet also adheres securely to the stand and it won't fall off. It can disconnect from the main case and be stuck to your fridge so you can watch videos while cooking. In the disconnected state, it still has a cover, but has a slim profile. I have an apple pencil and I got my tablet originally for digital art, and it doesn't bother me that the apple pencil doesn't have a slot in the charging area. It works well to keep it in the provided pocket, and it stays put. You can still charge the apple pencil through the case if you did want to put it against the side of the case. This design probably also allows the tablet not to take up too much space. The material is not quite fabric but has a bit more of a soft plastic-y feel so I feel like it it should have some water resistance. I haven't tried drawing on it yet, but it has many angle possibilities which can be used for both the horizontal and vertical direction. When using the stand in the horizontal direction the tablet stays with the camera to the left and in the vertical direction, with the camera at the top. The magnet won't stick if flipped the opposite way. But that does not matter. I also just really like how the main case's bezels are uniform throughout the perimeter, which makes the tablet look cute and put-together, and not have awkward-looking dips in the bezel.

I usually find it kind of dumb to see people being effusive over random products online, but I can admit when something is worth getting excited over. I don’t know anything about ESR, but I can say that this iPad case is awesome. Admittedly, it’s heavy (bought the 12.9”, so weight might be different for smaller versions); but that’s only if you keep the back on all the time. It’s very sturdy, has magnets in all the right places, and basically takes care of every concern you might ever have about your iPad. This is one of the few products I’m excited to use every time. A few details: 1. The grooves where the case props itself up are deep and magnetic, and the feet that go into them are sturdy, so this is one of the few cases like this that will never slip shut while you’re trying to work. 2. The tolerances are tight. The iPad fits snugly (might have to squeeze it in the first time you put it on), and the case feels like a second skin afterwards, whether the back is on or not. 3. The magnets are strong! Even though the back is technically separate, it never feels like a separate piece. Still feels like a solid slab when you carry it all together. 4. You can use it hard in any position. Like I said, the magnets are strong, and even the two maneuverable flaps are solid. I really can’t imagine anyone regretting this purchase.

Exactly what I was needing! Great case for my iPad. As a contractor, I needed to have a case that protected my iPad, acted as a stand when needed, but had a DETACHABLE cover also. Perfect match for how i use my iPad. Thank you!! 5 stars!!!

Actually I’d give it a 4.5+. It is competing with a case I love, but which is larger than this one and won’t quite fit in my smaller travel backpack. The pros on this case are size - thin and close to the iPad’s size; allows landscape or portrait using magnetic attachment to the case; a raised landscape mode - higher and better for reading without looking down; and, the magnet is quite strong. The stand also has a good range of viewing angles. Cons, it is awkward to charge in the portrait orientation and it does not have a band to hold it closed when folded up.

I got this product after purchasing their cheapest case option for the same device, which I ended up returning. It was a folio, not a case, so it wasn't protective enough for me. I used the money from that return towards this purchase. I was wary of buying this. Not because of the cheaper product, since it showed me how high quality this brand's products were. I was wary about the price and if it would be worth it. I was quickly shown I had nothing to worry about. This case is AMAZING. It feels so sturdy, the magnet to keep the iPad attached to the stand/folio is super strong. The magnets to keep the stand in each angle is stronger then I expected, though gravity and friction does enough work as it is so it's an added bonus. Also, you can put a good amount of pressure on the screen, say if you are drawing, and it doesn't buckle, very sturdy. With the 6 regular angles and the 3 shorter using the top piece, you won't feel that it isn't enough. The vertical mode works with any angles too, and while the stand can hold the weight in the lifted mode on all angles, I only feel comfortable using the first 3 as the lower options feel the screens weight are bending the stand alot and I don't want to damage the case. The apple pencil 2 can charge through the case if you sit it on the side (shown in images). It won't charge in the pocket on the side, as that's not how the iPad was designed (I knew this already) The back of the solo case has a very interesting texture that won't show up on camera well but I really like it, also adds to the high quality feel. It feels super durable and I wouldn't worry about damage from it falling, comparable to otter box. The only thing of note that you may not like is the weight. It is definitely not as light as I'm used to with my old case (which was physically thicker). This doesn't bother me, but it's of note. All in all I EXTREMELY recommend this case is you need something to protect your iPad and provide lots of stand options.

I am on day 3 of using this case and so far I love it. I like that it has it's only little case within the case. It really does stick to your fridge. It's a thick case once all put together but makes it feel nice and secure. I had one of the apple cases that I've been using this case for three days and I really like it. I appreciate that it has a small case inside the main case. It adheres well to your fridge. When assembled, it's somewhat thick but feels secure and solid. I previously used an Apple case that folded into a stand, but the material started peeling, which led me to choose this ESR case. Unlike the Apple case, this plastic is flexible yet durable, and it lacks the strange coating the Apple case had.folded into a stand and the material started peeling off which is why I got this ESR case, which doesn't not have that material. This plastic is flexible but sturdy and no weird coating like the apple case.

The features of this iPad cover sounded great and after using my new one these past two months, I have found these unique features quite useful. I am an avid iPad user, and my current iPad is my 5th. I use them all the time. The good: the fit is perfect for my 12.9” iPad Pro. All the control buttons lined up perfectly and work well. The multiple options for setting the viewing angle are much better than any of my previous covers over the past ten years of excessive iPad use. Other covers were decent, and did the job, but this cover provides 9 different positions and I really like how each position locks into place magnetically. The position remains firm while using and when I pick the iPad up and walk somewhere. When I fold my iPad back to flat position, it requires just a bit of intentional effort, which is good. The magnetic attachment hold your chosen position firmly, but is not difficult to disengage. My next favorite feature of this particular cover is one I’ve never seen or heard about with other covers, and I really like it when I’m laying down or reclining on my couch. The entire iPad position of the cover is magnetically attached to the second part which sets and holds your chosen position. You can separate the two and elevate the height of the iPad on the position stand, giving you full view of the screen above your lap. I thought this elevated position might be unstable but it is not. Maybe a bit top heavy in this position but still stable. The ability to hold the iPad in either landscape and portrait position is also handy. I use several apps that only display in portrait orientation. This cover seems quite durable and time will tell. So far so good. The brown color I choose is nice, but having several choices of color is a nice option. I’ve not used the feature to magnetically attached the iPad to the fridge, but the magnets are strong and I can see how some might like this feature. The small pocket that holds a stylist pen is handy as well. Being a left-handed guitar player, my right-hand finger tips do not accurate activate the iPad touch feature, so when I need a precise touch, I grab my stylus, neatly tucked into this pocket. The not so good: over all, I’m getting use to, or more familiar with the unique foldability of this cover. It is not typical of all the others I’ve had. All my previous covers simply opened like a book and set into grooves to hold the position. This covers requires you to open and fold the cover all the way behind the iPad face, then adjust one of the two support flaps to lock in to your selected angle. This is not bad, but does take a second or two to open and set the iPad, and I have to look, think, and typically, open it in an upside down position, then rotate it all to set properly for use. I’m sure I will eventually get used to this and it will become effortless. This fact is what makes this cover so unique and, allows it to work so well. This cover is bulkier than my previous covers, but not by much. The two angle setting flap stands, and odd way to open up and set, will take a bit of getting used to. I’ll get comfortable with this soon, but it’s taking some time. The last, not so good, comment is the description of “vegan leather”. Many product use this term, but it is nothing leather-like at all. It’s vinyl, or something similar, and has a distinct vinyl feel. Nothing leather about it. Overall, I really like this cover, and after two months of use, it’s getting easier to operate quickly. The magnets that hold the position firmly, and the ability to elevate the iPad, are my favorite pluses of this cover. Seems like a quality product that should last the rest of this iPads useful life.

I absolutely love this ESR case for the iPad Pro 12.9. I use my iPad all the time, and this case makes it even more practical for everyday use. The standability is excellent, it lets me lay the iPad completely flat when needed or prop it up in a stable stand for typing, watching videos, or working. Installation is very easy, and the magnetic cover snaps into place securely without any hassle. The ease of removal is just as good, I can take the cover off quickly when I want a lighter setup and put it back on just as fast. The case feels well made and offers solid protection without adding unnecessary bulk. For the quality and functionality it provides, the value for money is outstanding. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone looking for flexibility, convenience, and a clean design for their iPad Pro.

One of the best iPad case I have ever used. The magnets are strong enough to hold the iPad on a metal surface. It’s got every viewing ankle possible to thing. You can use the case as standalone and carry the iPad handy with full protection. The pencil charging is also working even with the case on.

Game changer for me. Being able to have portrait mode without holding the iPad. I can read my online newspapers and have a coffee, at any angle I want. Exact functionality as the zugu. But zugu is more expensive and portrait mode not functional This case is Not heavy just perfect to carry. Magnets are strong All the corners of iPad are well protected Good fabric and built overall. Apple Pencil charges and holds on top no problem So will see if the magnets will stay strong over time but right now, it is a very good case and happy with the purchase
