Best Scope Ever!!!
PREFACE - Before buying I literally read every single review on Amazon and read countless others on other websites, along with numerous videos. So below I will also address some of the previous concerns Iโd read about from other reviewers (Spoiler Alert โ ATN has obviously fixed or corrected everything thing that Iโd read about). ;-) NIGHT VISION - Is Amazing!!! Basically, the night vision Iโm seeing certainly seems to be VERY comparable to other โNight Visionโ Scopes that cost MUCH more ($2K to $3K). So I am VERY impressed so far. Also unlike โregular optical night visionโ (which is green) this system (which looks gray scale) does NOT get damaged if left out in the sun, nor does it have to be protected from light. Plus, the same scope is used during the day (double bonus). And, even when the infra-red illuminator is OFFโฆI was actually surprisedโฆit was still MUCH better than I thought it would be (it does NOT need much light to be effective). So then, when the infra-red Illuminator is turned ON (even at its lowest power)โฆ.it really lights up everything like it is daylight when it is pitch dark. I am SUPER impressed. Itโs so good, Iโm going to mount it to Quick Disconnect Rings, so I can use it as a Night Vision Monocular (even when not attached to a firearm or airgun. MULTIPLE โPROFILESโ - What a game changerโฆsomething only a digital scape can do. Essentially, a person can enter different Profiles for different firearms or Airguns and/or ammoโฆand with a Quick Disconnect (sold separately) it with be a cinch to switch. MICRO SD (sold separately, I got a SanDisk Ultra Plus 64GB) It is important to READ all instructions (which I did), where my friend did not. He and few reviews said they had Micro SD problemsโฆwell itโs important to do the Formatting in the Scope (it likes that). Plus, it will also be nice, as a person can "backup" their profiles to the Micro SD card, too. FIRMWARE UPDATES - Again, itโs important to READ all instructionsโฆevery single thing Iโd read about or saw as an early model 2018 โglitchโ has obviously been addressed with Firmware Updates. There was a Firmware Update for mineโฆand right away I got a super cool โSmart Reticleโ that I did not have 1 minute earlier. So follow the instructions. And that โSmart Reticleโ changes as you Zoomโฆagain, things that only a digital scope can do. TWO (2) LILโ ISSUES - That Oliver Vallero at ATN Corp Clarified and Fixed for Meโฆ The USB A to USB-C charging cable that came was way too big to fit in the Scopeโs USB-C slot. My buddy that also bought one, a day after I told him about mineโฆhis also came with a USB-C that was too big. He and I are both Apple Techs, so we know it was not a matter of being tightโฆit was too big. Yet, being and Apple Level III Tech we both had other USB-C cords I/we could use until Oliver sends out a new cable. Plus, I supposed I could have cut away on the plastic on the USB-C end, but Iโll wait and see. 2nd thingโฆOliver mentioned that the Manualโs suggested torque of 38 in.-lbs. was too MUCH for the Fixing Screw. So for everyone out there use 22-25 in.-lbs. / 2.485-2.824 Nm for the 30mm Scope Fixing Screwโฆand for the 30mm Scope Ring Screws, use 15 in.-lbs. / 1.694 Nm. Then finally, for the Infra-Red Illuminator use 22-25 in.-lbs. / 2.485-2.824 Nm for the Fixing Screw, and the Infra-red Illuminator Ring Screws use 12 in.-lbs. / 1.355 Nm. PHOTOS & VIDEOS - Iโm really not planning on using it for photoโs or recording video to the SD card (but broadcasting to an iPad might be interesting with shooting buddies). WI-FI & ATN OBSIDIAN 4 App (Tips & Tricks) - The Obsidian 4 App is great for me and works GREAT with the iPhone 11 Pro. Iโve got it set up with a mount that holds my iPhone 11 Pro around my neck and puts the screen where I can see it like a heads up display w/no-handsโฆso for hunting rats at nightโฆI just put the Umarex Synergis w/ATN X-Sight 4K Pro on a Tripod w/a Vanguard U-Yoke ($14.99 w/Free shipping) and I do NOT even have to look through the scopeโฆI can just watch my iPhone and when the rats come outโฆPOP. This is sooooooo cool! Well, that was long and detailed, but thatโs meโฆhope it helps others! :-)

Darn good for the money
I ordered this optic with a bit of nervousness after reading about firmware update failures. So upon receiving the optic, I mounted it on a rifle and did plenty of testing without worrying about the firmware update. Everything seemed fantastic - no issues with setup, very nice clear image, and night vision is acceptable with the included IR light (although I ordered a better light anyway). Curiosity got the best of me and I went ahead and did the firmware update. To my delight, the optic updated perfectly the first time (probably because I followed the instructions??!?!). This optic is jammed full of features and may be a bit intimidating to non-tech savvy folks... But the menus and buttons are quite intuitive and I found myself navigating through the features with no problem after just a few minutes. The smart rangefinder proves to be accurate, provided you know the approximate height of the object you are ranging. It is still an easy process and can be accomplished in a few seconds with some practice. For most hunting purposes, you should already know the height of the animal you will be ranging, so that data will be pre-entered. I cannot comment on the ballistics calculator yet as I have not been able to use it (due to MN weather in January). Overall I am very impressed with this optic and will probably purchase another!!

Good idea, poorly achieved and supported
It had to happen somewhere down the line... After 11 years of Amazon membership, I finally hit the worst manufacturer/seller ever. Ladies & Gentlemen: ATN. I got this scope for Father's Day, mainly because of the features it promises, but I found this product to be unreliable. Right out of the box, firmware update did not work. Shipped with firmware already updated? I'll never know. They'll never tell me. But I assumed it was, so I started using it. Third day of use, IR illuminator broke. I called ATN, and they sent me a new one in 3 days. That was fast & good, however, I never got to use it because I had already installed on the scope one of my own illuminators. The interface is friendly and the buttons are easy to use. Focus is not clear when you zoom more than 8 in day mode. Obidion App and WIFI worked well, and so did picture and video functions. Battery life is good. Zero in worked well too, but needed recalibration often. SMF red light prevented the compass from working. (I chatted with an ATF "optic specialist" about this issue, who admitted he had no idea about how to fix it). Range finder function never gave me a decent reading. I didn't use the ballistic calculator feature, so I couldn't say. I used night vision at short range for pest control purposes (25, 30 yards or so) and it worked just fine. This thing needs a complete and detailed user manual, which is not provided. Rings are cheap and have to be adjusted with a screw driver (rings with clamps for quick connection are sold separately). IR illuminator is cheap and low quality. Battery charging cable is good quality, but no charger is provided. The scope comes with no lids, which is unacceptable at this price range. This thing is very heavy, so you better watch the weigh of your rifle... Since I got it, I just used the scope a few times in the last 4 or 6 weeks. 5 days ago was the last one. I turned it off and hooked the cable to charge the battery. I turned it on while charging in order to check it was charging (there is no charging indicator when the device is off), but the interface was gone. Just the screen on. No zoom, no focus, no interface. Nothing. Tried to contact ATF again. The scope does not deliver what it promises, but the worse thing is ATN. They do not care about customers. You chat, it takes an eternity and they end up telling you to call the 1 800 #. I called the number, no one ever answered. I called Amazon and through their intervention, they finally answered, asking me to fill in a form at their website so they will email me a return label. So I did. ATN website promised they would send me a return label within 24 hours... That was 5 days ago. The second day after filing my return claim, the guy on the chat said: "It's taking 2 business days to email you the return label now because of the COVID. So, I waited 2 days, but no return label was sent to me. Then, I called again, I chatted, I called again, and again, and again. No answer, no answer, no answer. I got upset. I wanted my money back. I called Amazon again and even though my return window had been closed 2 weeks ago, they accepted the return as long as I paid a restocking fee, which I did gladly because it would end this nightmare with ATN, a company that does not care about customers. THANK YOU AMAZON!!

Overall a solid product and great buy.
It took a little bit of time to get familiar with the device but once I did it was easy to use. It's a little bulky and heavy but it does a lot of cool stuff. The IR illuminator it comes with does a decent job but I ended up replacing it with a more powerful Armasight Watchman IR. Also the rings it comes with could be better but I later purchased the one piece cantilever mount from ATN which is a lot better. I have used the scope to harvest game both during the day and at night and have successfully put it on multiple weapon platforms. Overall a great buy

Great night vision optic
I've had the ATN 4K Pro for a week now. The setup went smoothly thanks to the included instructions. There are a lot of features so it took a few range sessions to get the hang of everything. After some practice the zeroing process is easy to use. I've used the 4K Pro during the day and night. The included IR light has enough power to clearly illuminate targets between 100-150 yards. If you are shooting longer than 150 yards, I'd recommend upgrading the IR light. I was able to hit a 4.5" wide target at 200 yards at night, but the target was difficult to see. The only issue that I had was that the sight froze up while I was going through all of the settings. If you hold the power button down for 20 seconds the sight will perform a hard reset. Since then, it hasn't froze up again. Overall I think this is a great sight as an entry level night sight for hunting. I have the 3-14x model. I plan on using it within 200 yards so the lower power magnification fit my needs. If you are planning on going past 200 yards, I'd recommend the 5-20 model. The video recording feature is great for reviewing your shooting & hunting experiences. The video with this review is me shooting at night at a 100 yard target which is a 12" steel plate.

ATN Tech support and customer service is exceptional
Great scope. I bought this scope in July 2020; I opened box charged the battery and looked through the scope. It came on, made things brighter, seemed ok. During this time, I was working a lot of overtime, like 20-30 hours a week which didn't leave much time for anything else. It worked out that I got an early retirement, because at the time I was doing a major rebuild on my home. Five years later I had time to check out the scope. I charged it and it made everything brighter, but no reticle no info on screen, like it is on YouTube. I contacted ATN Tech support and spoke with Oliver. Nice guy talked me through everything, and decided they needed the scope back for evaluation, they sent me shipping label at no cost to me. I knew I would owe stupid tax for not checking it out better when I received it 5 years earlier. Well, to my surprise I received a brand-new scope. ATN paid for everything for FREE. The customer service was exceptional. This is the only interaction I've ever had with ATN. I was blown away. I can only sing their praises. This is above and beyond and beyond. Oliver from customer service was amazing! Thanks for your help with this.

Is an amazing scope for the price but the build quality is debatable
I received the scope yesterday and was immediately at the range to use it. So far I am pretty impressed. but this is just more of an initial review since I haven't used it long term. I gave it 3 stars, more because of a few issues that just annoyed me a lot, but may not bother you at all. I did have a few times where it froze on me like others have mentioned. For me, it was only while putting the a memory card in while it was turned on. This caused it to freeze up for some reason. It never froze on me any other time though. The image quality is amazing, even while zoomed in. I was afraid it would just be more gimmicky and after giving it a try, it would end up in my scope bin and rarely touched, but it really doesn't feel gimmicky and I think I will be using this long term on my 6.5 Creedmoor. The scope is very solid feeling, meaning it's not made of cheap plastic, so it feels sturdy. So far the features I have used all seem to work exactly as stated without any issues. At least from what little but I used them. I will say the scope is pretty big compared to a standard little 3x scope.. For the heck of it, I took off my 3x scope and I put this on my Saint Edge 5.56(not the gun I purchased this for) and the scope was as big as my free float and barrel. It is much lighter than I was expecting though for it's size. a few points I want to make that are downsides since that is what most people are interested. 1. The buttons on this thing plain suck. That is the best word I can use while keeping it family friendly, but they are HORRIBLE. They really need to go back to the drawing board on that. 99% of the time, I will push the center button to select an option and instead it will cause the right or left arrow to select instead. This one issue makes the entire thing feel like it's a Chinese knock off of itself. Luckily you can also control these features in the app, but still. 2. The SD memory card slot has multiple issues. (A) There is a slot under it for some unknown reason that is right in the path of you pushing the micro SD card in and if you do this, you will have an expensive SD card stuck in the body of your scope. This gap really should be sealed. You have to maneuver the card at an angle up to get to the actual slot. (B) This also means the unit is not waterproof at all with a gap in it this huge (C) Every time you go to put the little rubber cover on the SD port back on, it pushes in on the MicroSD card which causes it to read no card which is annoying. It took 6-7 tries before I was able to get the rubber cover on just right so that it didn't push in on the microSD card (D) If you put the MicroSD card in while the scope is powered on, it will freeze 100% of the time. 3. I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why the thing was not connecting to my phone and my phone couldn't find it. Turns out the WiFi was shut off in the unit. After I turned that on, it worked perfectly on the app Obsidian 4 app. So far Bluetooth doesn't seem to do anything. This isn't really an issue with the device as my own issue. But remember to go in and make sure WiFi in the Quick Setting area is selected on. If I was to rate it just on it's use as a scope and quality of the image and reliability of the features, it would be an easy 5 star. The above issues just make it feel more like it's a knock off of the real thing even though it isn't. Beyond that the scope is really amazing though. Over time, I may get used to the above issues and it may not be an issue at all too. It just sucks that the issues I have with it are not things that can be fixed with a simple software update so I am stuck with them.

Probably the best you can get in this price range
So far I have gone out two times with this on my rifle. Once for zeroing, and once for coyotes. Zeroing made me think I had forgotten how to shoot because I was trying to use the one shot zero feature but kept chasing my shots from way left to way right after every correction. Turns out I'm an idiot and didn't notice that the scope mount screws had backed out a little and it was ever so slightly wobbly. A little loctite later and it seriously only took 3 shots to zero using that feature. 1 to get the shot position, 1 to test the new shot (was still 3"off) 1 to verify the new-new position. Then the rest of the magazine testing it at different distances and testing the shot calculator based on range calculation (it helps that the target I used is 12" round) I admit, at 50, 100, and 150 yds a .223 round would only be off by about an inch anyway, but it did seem to compensate for that inch which was cool. Night vision works well, some people say the illuminator isn't needed... they are wrong. If you live way out in the middle of nowhere like I do and there is no ambient light, there is no light for the scope to magnify. With the illuminator it works great! Though my illuminator that came with the kit did die after that first hunt, ATI is replacing it for me. Yes, I replaced the batteries with fresh ones on the off chance that I left it on. But id didn't work with the new ones wither. Still, great customer service! Thanks for helping me out My!
