Meta Quest Elite Strap — Works with Meta Quest 3/3S — Premium Comfort and Weight Distribution — Adjustable, Ergonomic Fit — Reduces Pressure and Fatigue

After trying many different cables, this is the cable I've landed on and it works flawlessly! The Meta Link cable uses fiber so it is able to deliver USB 3.0 5Gbps speeds at a much longer range than copper based cables. Also if you have a power delivery USB-C port on your desktop/laptop then you will be able to keep the headset charged while playing. Other USB C to C cables use copper so they are much thicker/stiffer and can't go as long (longest I found was only 2.5M). The Meta Link cable is very light and flexible and also comes with a little cable strap, so you can tie it to the side of your headset so you don't feel a cable pulling down on the headset. I am very happy with this cable due to its: * length, which allows me to cable manage it around my desk and into my sim rig * weight, which makes it easy to forget about when using * ability to charge while playing (granted you have a power delivery port) * stable connection, I've raced hours at a time without any hitches I know this cable is pretty pricey, but you get a really high quality cable for it. If you're really budget conscious, search Amazon for fiber USB C to C cables and you will likely be able to find cables for slightly less (but still more than a copper cable). But remember a high quality copper cable will be stiffer and can't delivery high speeds at a longer length!

After trying out a few third party accessories which always turned out to be junk, I caved and bought the official Meta Elite Battery Strap. And boy am I glad I did! It has a very premium look and feel and is very sturdy, unlike the flimsy third party straps which felt like they were going to fall apart. This thing extends your battery life by ~2 hours, basically doubling your battery life, it is much more comfortable than the stock strap, and what I really like about it is that the battery from the strap is used first, before the headset. You can also see the battery level of the headset and extended battery separately inside the headset. You can charge this battery strap and the headset at the same time and using only one cable, and it’s also worth mentioning that the Meta official charging dock actually charges the strap AND the headset at the same time! I will be going with Meta official accessories from now on as that seems to be the way to go! Sure it’s a bit on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for with these Meta official accessories!

Oh my goodness! This thing is fun! I am a 59 year old woman who cannot melt and pour myself into an exercise routine. As a last ditch effort, I decided to try this thing. I bought the ‘Supernatural’ game for this unit and love it! I am out of shape, so when I do one single session it wears me out. But I enjoy it so much that I don’t dread the sessions. Hopefully with time using this system, I will be able to get back in shape. I am not very ‘techy’ but I had no problem learning how to use this thing.It really is easy to use and understand. My living space is very small but with the Supernatural game it doesn’t take much room. I love the feature of this devise where you can tap the side of the unit and immediately see your surroundings without having to take the headset off. Although this was a very pricey investment, it was worth it! Fun, easy to use, and effective for my purposes!

This is nice. Way nicer than the one that came with the quest 3, but I'll add on to othe comments, this strap should've been included. The battery does add a little weight, but your not going to notice because of how the weight is evened out. I haven't tried laying down with it, so I cant comment on that. The dial does make it easy to get the tightness you're looking for, and the strap that goes over your head takes some fidgeting, but in the end its worth it.

The cable works great for both charging the Oculus Quest 2 and providing Oculus Link connectivity to your headset for playing PC VR titles. BUT, it's practically worthless at this price! Here's why: The Quest 2 comes with a charging cable that works perfectly well for charging the headset and providing data access for things like SideQuest, an app that allows you to sideload (install without using the Oculus app) apps and games on to your headset. The Quest 2 also supports the WiFi 6 wireless standard. If you have a WiFi 6 wireless router, you can use an app called Virtual Desktop to play all your PC VR games without the need for a wire running down your back. The latency is incredibly low, making for an amazing completely-wireless Link gaming experience. If you don't have a WiFi 6 wireless router, you can still use Virtual Desktop and play your games completely wirelessly! The latency is slightly higher and the bandwidth is lower (you may need to drop your graphical settings to get it to play right) but still completely enjoyable for everyone not playing in competitive gaming tournaments. There are two advantages to this cable over using your Quest 2 wirelessly: latency is virtually eliminated when playing over wire, and trickle charging your headset while in use. Most reviewers agree that the cable works perfectly well for Oculus Link gameplay (though some argue playing through Virtual Desktop wirelessly instead of through Oculus's Link interface is actually faster). And while plugged in, your Rift 2 battery gets a partial charge while plugged in. That's not to say you can use the headset indefinitely; the battery still drains faster than the cable tops it up. But it does allow for longer gameplay without having to buy an external battery pack or the expensive Elite Strap with Battery. tl;dr: this is a very expensive USB cable that almost no one really needs. If you don't have a PC, or PC VR games you want to play on your Quest 2, don't buy this. If you have a relatively new wifi router that offers 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections, don't buy this (get Virtual Desktop from the Oculus Store instead, and find a youtuber that can show you how to play PC games wirelessly). If you need absolute-zero latency for competitive gaming, then this is the closest you'll get.

I honestly cannot imagine going back to the default cloth strap after clicking the Meta Quest Elite Strap into place. From the moment I swapped it onto my headset, the difference in stability was night and day. While the stock strap does the bare minimum to keep the device on your head, this accessory completely transforms the physical experience of virtual reality, turning it from a slightly front-heavy balancing act into a secure, cohesive piece of technology that feels like it belongs on my face. The magic really lies in the sophisticated weight distribution. Because the Elite Strap adds a rigid structure and a dedicated back support, it effectively acts as a counterweight to the headset's front-heavy optics. My son wanted the MetaQuest VR thing for Christmas, he's 9 by the way, and I had no knowledge about VR games whatsoever. I only knew it was a device that you wear as if they were bulky glasses that looked like they would be heavy but I had no idea how this thing fit. So of course knowing that much about VR gaming I obviously knew that games apparently took on a life like illusion through these lenses. A type of gaming I wasn't familiar with or interested in myself. I had no clue what they cost and cringed when I learned how much I'd have to spend on a game that I assumed was like those arcade or theme park attractions that stay in one place but send you on a dollar coaster ride through a nauseating lens. So spending hundreds on it and all the accessories made for it, had me hesitating if this was the right gift for my son. He probably had no idea that motion sickness could be an effect from this kind of gaming. I worried he would get it, try it once and never play it again because it was heavy or uncomfortable, of make he feel sick etc. I couldn't make a confident decision fast enough so I just went ahead and bought the VR. And the way I see it, if there are specific optional accessories made on the side, then you have to buy those too. Personally speaking, I couldn't just buy the VR headset by itself and only that. It's gaming. These accessories aren't required to enjoy the gaming experience I know that, but they are an option if you want to enhance your gaming experience to the best it can get. To me, this accessories and the others made for this model, are necessary. I knew going into the purchase that it would in excess of a $100 dollars on top of the lenses. I recommend you buy the extras, but if you can't or don't want to buy all of them, (it's just 3 optional available), then absolutely at least buy this one. You literally are going to buy this pieces to replace the one that you bought with MetaQuest which seems ridiculous since you're removing the strap sold with the device and probably never using it again. But my feedback on the elite head strap is 5 stars, worth paying for, it upgrades the base strap. Upgrading hardware that will sit on your head and cover your upper face, is a no-brainer. Maximum comfort makes all the difference in the gaming experience. So, if you are wondering if this will be worth buyin, or if it will make much of a difference to justify the extra cost, I saw absolutely. This strap allowed the MetaQuest to properly fit my 9 year old head. The standard strap didn't provide a proper fit, the lenses sat more loosely on his head and you can imagine how uncomfortable that would have been when you're trying to play. With this elite strap, the comfort is as good as it gets because this strap adjusts the fit better. Buy it, you're probably going to be glad you did and not regret it at all.
