Perfect for ancestry research
These file boxes are great for storing ancestry research papers and old photos.

Nice storage box for full pack of printer paper
Storage file boxes (Color: black) I was looking for something nice looking to tidy up around my printer without spending too much money. I was looking for some way of neatly storing a full pack of printer paper. This works absolutely perfect for that purpose, but would also serve as nice storage for all kind of documents.

Good quality
Thick plastic, well made boxes with a metal clip inside which also appears good quality. The metal popper on the side works well and closes the box lid securely. My only complaint is that they are a bit expensive but the quality does seem to be good.

Practicality
I have seen these boxes used in English TV shows I have seen and thought they were better than files in a drawer. They are, at least for me and what I am using them for. I purchased four. I am still going through paperwork to fill them up. I use them to catalog machine embroidery designs I have purchased. It is quite handy b/c I can just put them on a shelf and I don't have to go through numerous files. I have embroidery purchase receipts in one. I have designs I have stitched out in the remaining, with the designs printed out on paper and the information for the designs. For me, they are great!

Not usable
Not designed well. The spring loaded bracket is in the center of the file box making it to where you can only fill it "less" than half full. Flawed unusable setup.

Great for filing taxes
I had been looking for a filing solution to house my annual taxes and receipts. This item work perfectly.

The clip is in the way if you plan to fill the box
The clip only works if you fill it up to 2/3rds full. If you fill it more than that the clip won't retract without mashing the papers unless you bend it. I was able to remove the clip with some pliers. Don't get the clip if you plan on actually using these boxes fully.

They are sturdy and have adequate capacity. I used them to file/organize taxes paperwork
