Just WOW!
I can’t say enough about this! First of all it has fixed every issue we’ve had and thought it was the internet or the channels themselves. Even had a strange sound thing happening and that doesn’t occur anymore! It’s super fast and the picture quality is amazing! No more need for any other remote as you can turn off and on your tv with this. Easy access buttons to Netflix, Prime, Disney+, and Peacock. So easy to set up and great connectivity! We’re very impressed!

Used it to Upgrade My Toshiba Fire TV
I bought a 32"Toshiba Fire TV almost five years ago for my home gym and noticed that apps were loading slower on that TV than they were on my other TVs that had fire sticks and a fire cube. I originally thought that, since the Fire TV had the Fire software built in, there was no way to improve the speed. Then I did some research and found that the TV was compatible with an external Fire stick. I chose to buy this Fire TV Stick 4K Max for its mid-level price point and have not been disappointed with the increased performance vs the TV's Fire software. Setup was easy, the new remote controlled everything and the battery life was improved over the old remote and it now has voice command. I can't say the sound quality of the TV changed much if any, but I wasn't expecting it to. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance of this Fire stick and am especially happy that I didn't have to buy a new TV.

Excellent Performance and Handy Remote Features
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is a great streaming device with excellent performance. The remote is very convenient and includes additional buttons for scrolling up and down pages, which makes navigation much easier. The CPU is fast and responsive, apps open quickly, and movies play smoothly with great picture quality. I also really appreciate the included HDMI extender, which helps with installation and improves signal reliability. The only downside I’ve noticed is occasional “white noise” coming from the speakers of my Toshiba TV. This may be TV-specific, but it’s worth mentioning. Overall, despite this minor issue, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is fast, user-friendly, and a solid upgrade for streaming. P.S. The issue with noise has been resolved after consulting with Amazon Outreach Support. The fix was to change “Audio > Surround Sound” from “Best Available” to “PCM.” Thank you, Amazon!

4K no lag clarity and more apps if a AMAZON prime subscriber
ABSOLUTELY love this so much better than the Roku stick in my opinion. The sturdiness is good it feels like it will hold up nicely through the years of ownership. The compatibility is pretty standard with any tv that has an HDMI port on it, I have mine hooked up to my DBPOWER projector in my bedroom and it works great. I will have to say this if you do use a projector it may not put enough power to the fire stick so try it if it doesn’t work you will need to purchase the length of power cable you will need to power it. Battery life what battery life it is powered by electricity, lol. Voice command feature is absolutely great to have on the remote. There is absolutely no buffering to worry about it powers up and runs like a champ. The fire stick is really nice because streaming services you purchase on AMAZON is right at your finger tip. I also did not know that AMAZON has their own browser added in on the fire stick. It is just all around an awesome product. I have a Roku stick which has pretty bad lag being closer to the internet box in my living room on another DBPOWER projector and prefer the fire stick because of no lag what so ever. I most definitely prefer the fire stick over the Roku stick. Plus with the fire stick you get a lot more streaming services for free because AMAZON pretty well owns them.

Way better than my slow "smart" TV but takes ages to setup
So I bought a smart TV (name omitted as sometimes calling out other brands is problematic for reviews here for whatever reason, but it rhymes with "sanfung" lol) years ago and over time it's just been the worst way to get to streaming apps. The interface is bloated, slow, and buggy. But the TV itself is actually really nice and not worth replacing. So to fix the main issue of a laggy smart TV user interface I did a little research and the Amazon Fire TV stick checked all the boxes. It has all the normal streaming services available and also a really good web browser built in which was critical. Having the TV boot into the Fire stick was easy to do and this thing is so much faster I wish I got one sooner. The internet seems better too I haven't had a dropped connection yet which was common before. I had to take one star off because Amazon has decided that the setup process for this thing needs to be as arduous as possible. You have to skip through heaps of offers and questions before being able to use it. Also it went through 2-3 updates that all took a long time. Connecting to my phone's smart app also took quite a while. All that being said the price for this is amazing and if you have an aging Smart TV where when you click a button it takes seconds to register each action this could be a great solution!
