Perfect Fit and Easy Install!
This replacement glove box is exactly what I needed for my Jeep. The fit was spot on, installation was simple, and it looks just like the original factory piece. The plastic is sturdy and durable, so I’m confident it will hold up well over time. It’s such a great feeling to finally have a properly functioning glove box again without rattles or gaps. For the price and quality, this is an excellent replacement part. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable OEM-style fit!

Fits a 1978 Jeep CJ-7 perfectly!
A very sturdy product. Looks far better than the waxed cardboard original. Installation does involve a little massaging. Here are a few hints steps to help you along: Equipment: 1. "Stubby" phillips head screwdriver (due to the tight space this makes things far simpler; otherwise you may want to remove the dash handle/grab bar). 2. Drill and bit set. 3. New glove box insert. (plastic; includes 6 self-tapping screws) Installation steps: 1. Remove the glove box latch bracket (2 screws down from above; keep these screws). 2. Remove the old glove box insert (can be up to 6 screws). 3. Insert the new glove box insert (requires some gentle nudging, just be sure to clear any wires and carefully work the new insert in by angling back beyond the metal flanges which held the original insert screws, then push the insert from below the dash over the screw flanges and all should be snug) 4. Mark the holes on the insert. 5. Remove the insert. 6. Drill out the 6 holes on the glove box insert. 7. Re-insert the glove box insert. 8. Install 6 screws. 9. Replace glove box latch bracket. 10. Done Alternatively, steps 4-7 can be skipped using a socket tool. or by using the original glove box insert to mark the holes on the new box (if yours is still intact) before the first installation. I found it simpler to pre-drill the holes, as the plastic insert tends to bend and shift under the stress while driving in the self-tapping screws.

EASy INSTALL AND GREAT FIT
Pretty easy install. Remove latch, insert glove box starting on one side first. Make sure all tabs go backside of metal so all the mounting holes line up. I was able to use my battery drill to drill small holes on all but the bottom two holes. I just took a drill bit and but a wrap of tape on the one end and "Hand Drilled" those two bottom holes. Used the battery drill with a Phillips bit for the top and sides and a stubby Phillips for the bottom two. I now have my glove box back, after the old cardboard one gave up the ghost years ago. On a scale of one to five beers, this is a one beer install.

Hmmm, some hardware for installation would be great.
Nice thick plastic, fit really well in place and easy to get in place. Only down falt is absolutely no mounting hardware.

Fits Perfect 1974 CJ5
What a great fit, push it in at an angle while squeezing it slightly in the middle. It just clears the fresh air intake hose. Fit nicely around the outside of the metal flanges used to fasten the screws through the metal into the plastic. Nice upgrade from the ball of duct tape and cardboard that typically passes for the "glove box" on these old CJ's, if it is still there at all.

Good choice
Better made than the original Especially after seeing the glove box physically I felt like I got a good value for the money. I did not realize that I would have to remove he dash once again to install it however its a CJ so simple procedure

Easy Install on a 1981 CJ7
This is a pretty simple product and not much to go wrong with it. After removing the old cardboard insert, this one slid very easily into place. You do have to squeeze down on it a little but it will definitely fit into the hole without removing any other jeep parts. Once in place, I marked all screw holes with an indelible marker, removed the insert, drilled them out, placed it back in place, and installed all the screws. You may need a stubby screw driver if space is tight (I have the dash grab bar and a full roll cage). I ended up using a Leatherman type multi-tool to screw 2 of them in since that is what I had handy. The inside space does appear to be slightly smaller than the cardboard insert but nothing significant. A reminder, the plastic is very slippery, so items inside will slide around when driving. You can put a tacky drawer liner in there or maybe they can design newer ones with texture to provide some friction to keep things from sliding around as much. Overall, very pleased and would purchase again.

Once I figured out what I was doing...and I'm not mechanically inclined.....it went in no problem. Fits in through the opening when you squeeze it through....not much effort...and screw it in place. No screw holes in the plastic though!
