Had something similar under the name of RoadTop for a few years until Apple introduced iOS17 and it decided "Nah, don't like" and stopped working. It had been temperamental prior to that in any case. This Carpuride is a whole lot better. Not so temperamental, although it occasionally has its moments, screen is much superior, and connects most times first time. Happy to recommend.

This is a great bit of kit and a perfect way to get CarPlay in your car. I wanted to connect it via Bluetooth to a 2015 Renault Captur MediaNav (probably one of the worst car players known to humanity). The Bluetooth connection only worked for 10 seconds and then no music could be heard. Carpuride were very helpful but their suggestions did not help and in the end it would only connect via FM radio, aux or by connecting the phone directly to the MediaNav which I could do with my old unit anyway so I sent this one back. Probably more a failing of the rubbish Captur MediaNav rather than a fault with this unit.

Well impressed with this unit , I drive several hundred miles a day for work and this unit has been superb , extremely easy to set up straight out the box , screen is bright and clear and the menus are easy to navigate ... highly recommend this unit 10/10

Absolutely useless - will not connect to my car via Bluetooth having to use FM Transmitter ANDROID AUTO absolutely useless Instructions that are included no use at all What features there are none pointless cable AUX most phones do not have a jack point anymore I bought the unit to bring my radio up to date but it's pointlesz

I have installed this into my 2009 BMW 320D E90 and it works perfectly. It's super easy to install and using the instructions I had it paired with my phone and car within 5 minutes. Having dual bluetooth reduces the need for extra wires so all you will have on show is the power cable and the unit is connected to both your car and your phone at the same time. It comes with a variety of mounting options all of which are strong and sturdy. The screen is nice and bright and reactive to touch - it's slightly slower than a mobile phone in that sense but it's very usable and user friendly. The graphics are sharp and clear and screen brightness can adjusted either manually or you can set it automatic mode. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and Apple car play works seamlessly and I'm really happy with the performance. It also supports Android auto. If you don't have a vehicle with Bluetooth then yoy have the option to use an audio cable or tune it to a specific radio channel. I have only tested the bluetooth and the sound is excellent. I am planning on hard wiring it into my car to help tidy things up and the hard wiring kit can be bought from the manufacturer on Amazon. The only thing I have struggled with is when you get a phone call the sound comes out of the unit itself and not your speakers - as they are only small it isn't the loudest and can be sometimes hard to hear over road noise. This will obviously be vehicle dependant and if you have a quiet vehicle you shouldn't have a problem. Overall a neat solution to bring your vehicle into the modern age.

This is a really neat looking screen with a bright display and responsive touchscreen. Connecting it to my Android phone was quick and straightforward. Connecting to the car stereo was trickier – the instructions say you have to add the car from the screen, and not the other way round, but it rarely found the car stereo! Eventually I got it connected though, and could play music and get navigation directions through the car speakers clearly. However, it is very quiet unless I turn the volume on the car stereo up to max, which then blows your ears of when you switch to another source. Playing music directly from my phone to the car over Bluetooth has always worked fine, so I think this must be a problem with this screen. Android Auto works well, and voice controls work well for navigation and music controls. However, phone calls are not so good. If connected to the car through Bluetooth, during a call the sound will not come through the car speakers but only through the built-in speaker which is not great (the product description does mention this, but it seems a big limitation). You can connect to the car stereo through FM instead, in which case phone calls do come through the car speakers, but this method creates quite a lot of noise in the background (particularly as I still have to have the volume turned up full as with Bluetooth). The other problem is that it does not just work all the time – sometimes it connects to the car, sometimes not, so I find myself messing around with the settings far too often. I am considering connecting to the car via the AUX to avoid both problems, but I need a new cable for this (the supplied one does not connect to the phono sockets in my car) and it is another wire to try and run nearly around the dashboard.

Hatte zuvor bzw. gleichzeitig ein günstiges Gerät zur Hand mit selben Maßen und Ausstattung. Konnte somit gut vergleiche ziehen. Auffallend war sofort das Gewicht fast 100 Gramm unterschied (Nur das Display)! Da muss doch andere Hardware verbaut sein und evtl. 1 bis 2 Cent mehr an den einzelnen Bauteilen in der Produktion ausgegeben worden sein?! Fazit, Einrichtung super Easy, Gerät fühlt sich wertig an, Display ist schön scharf und Hell. Auf Touch Eingaben reagiert das Gerät Präzise und Flüssig, es werden bei Eingabe (Ort suchen beim Navigieren mit Apple Karten) alle Buchstaben erkannt (Hatte ein YouTube Video gesehen wo der Buchstabe D nicht erkannt wurde). Die Ton Wiedergabe über die Internen Lautsprecher ist OK zum Navigieren aber natürlich nicht für super klare Musik, was eigentlich klar sein muss, deshalb keinerlei Kritik. Koppeln vom CarPlay Display per Bluetooth direkt mit dem Radio funktioniert tadellos und alle Navigationsanweisungen, Musik erfolgt völlig Störungsfrei und ohne Aussetzer, lediglich bei Sprachanweisung gibt sich Siri über die Interne Lautsprecher wieder sowie auch ein Anruf, der Rest wieder über das Radio, auch dort keine Kritik da der Hersteller es auch in der Beschreibung erwähnt, verstehen tu ich das zwar nicht aber nun gut so ist es halt. Wenn man den Ton über AUX an das Radio sendet ist alles Perfekt, sprich alles geht ans Radio, Siri, Anrufe einfach alles und das wichtigste es gibt keine Störgeräusche von der Lichtmaschine des PKW‘s also Scheint eine gute Trennung von der Masse vorhanden zu sein. FM Übertragung habe ich nicht getestet wird wohl auch gehen, bei mir bleibt die AUX Verbindung, da ich so alles höre. Ach ja der Equalizer verrichtet echt einen guten Dienst und holt noch einiges mehr aus den mehr als Schlechten Lautsprecher meines Dacia Duster mit dem echt super schlechten MediaNav 1 also die Version ohne CarPlay raus. Zusammengefasst Top Teil von Carpuride und mein Auto wurde deutlich aufgewertet im Zusammenhang mit IPhone. Kurz noch die Anmerkungen was ich mit dem billigen Teil meinte welches zum Vergleich da war. Dort war Bluetooth dauernd abgehakt und Sprachanweisungen beim Navigieren waren nie vollständig. AUX Verbindung war eine Vollkommene Katastrophe ständig lautes Fiepen und Quietschen von der Lichtmaschine. Das gerät hatte öfters beim Einschalten der Zündung mehrfach neu gebootet. Der Bootvorgang war deutlich länger. Das Display war zwar scharf aber beim Touchen merkte man schon das es irgendwie sich dünner anfühlte. Insgesamt war alles deutlich klappriger. Somit muss ich ehrlich sagen auch wenn da fast 120 Euro Mehrkosten beim Carpuride entstehen lohnt es sich deutlich. Ja es ist sehr viel Geld für eine kleine Technische Spielerei habe aber die Hoffnung es entsprechend auch länger verwenden zu können und mal ehrlich was bringt es mir etwas zu Kaufen was zwar nur 80€ kostet aber erst nicht richtig geht. Habe ich dann wirklich gespart? Nachtrag 10.11.23: leider hat der AUX Ausgang schon ein hieb, sprich die linke Seite der Audioausgabe ist mindestens 70% leiser, habe extra schon andere AUX Kabel gegengetestet. Nach 2 bis 3 Neustarts ist es meist wieder gut für kurze Zeit. Es wiederholt sich also. Leider muss ich das Carpuride zurück senden.

Das Display verbindet sich problemlos mit dem Handy, die Auflösung für den Zweck ist sehr gut. Die Gründe für die Rücksendung: - Die automatische Helligkeit über Sensor klingt zwar sinnvoll, jedoch wird die Helligkeit von Display bei Gegenverkehr hoch geregelt so das es blendet, bei manueller Helligkeit muss man vor Fahrantritt immer erst den Regler berühren damit wieder der minimale Wert aktiviert ist. - Die Lautstärke Einstellung bleibt auch nicht gespeichert. - Die Aux Verbindung bricht ab und zu ab, zb wir die Musik nach der Navigationsansage nicht wieder übertragen. - Die Soundqualität bei Musik ist nicht so berauschend. Ich habe mich nun für ein fest eingebautes CarPlay Radio entschieden.

Soyons clair, ce produit remplit parfaitement sa fonction. Je l'utilise dans une voiture qui dispose d'un écran certes mais ne peut être connecté via Android Auto. Et c'est vraiment un plaisir de profiter de la navigation Waze (ou Google Maps) tout en écoutant de la musique. Mon smartphone se connecte automatiquement via Bluetooth et la musique reprend là où je l'avais arrêtée. Je me connecte aux haut-parleurs de la voiture via la prise jack et c'est la limite principale : le volume côté voiture est au max, c'est suffisant mais à la limite. Il faudrait pouvoir amplifier un peu plus. Je peux certes augmenter le son directement sur le Carpuride également mais son haut-parleur est très inférieur à ceux de la voiture et ne peut être désactivé. L'écran de 7 pouces est correct mais le prochain sera plus grand ! J'utilise un support qui utilise le lecteur CD (que je n'écoute plus) et c'est très commode.
