MED PRIDE Hypoallergenic Adhesive Surgical Tape 12 Pack Breathable First Aid Med Tape Latex & Rubber Free (1" X 10 yds Clear,Transparent)

I’m a Registered Nurse/Wellness Director at a 43 room assisted living community for senior citizens. Since our facility is not a licensed skilled nursing facility, we don’t routinely do in-depth medical procedures, so we aren’t required to provide or keep on hand a large selection of medical supplies for any specific medical procedures or wound care. We do however keep both of our med rooms and first aid kits well stocked with the supplies we would need for any basic dressing changes and supplies needed to clean/dress wounds in emergency situations as a temporary “fix” until the resident is either transferred to the ER or seen by their primary care provider for treatment. This clear medical grade tape is an excellent quality tape, but may not be the best option for everyone. The adhesive qualities of this tape seem to be a tad “weaker” than some other clear medical tapes I’ve used in the past. Which I actually love bc It works perfect for us at our facility. We all know most senior citizens tend to have very thin and fragile skin. A slight bump into something can leave them with an unsightly skin tear. Even though this tape doesn’t have super strong adhesive qualities, we still wouldn’t use it in a situation where we needed to apply the tape directly on a residents skin. When using this specific tape, we always wrap the area that contains the wound with rolled gauze and then secure it by taping the end of the rolled gauze wrap to itself. This product works great for us and we will continue to buy it for our needs.

it is as it should be, keep dry, cool, protected form the weather, great for many things , and patching yourself up, or someone else, the price was a couple pennies more, buy the 2 " wide, if you wanted to keep a band-aid or gauze pad. tapped to your skin you will need that extra wide contact surface.

Bought this as a “dupe” for the wrinkle patches people buy because i honestly can’t afford the marketed product. I find this works quite well for reducing the appearance of my wrinkles. i’m only 21 with deep forehead lines, i like using this as a preventative for it getting worst. This product is very sticky BUT only to freshly washed skin…i wouldn’t use any skin care products where u plan to apply these.

Serves as its medical purpose at the time. Sometimes the adhesive wears off when you sweat.

Second time ordering this tape.I can't say enough good about it. I use it on my guaze wrapped leg.It doesn't hurt if gets stuck ok skin. Easy to tear. It is not waterproof,nor the best sticking tape on some wraps.But for me it works well.You certainly can't beat the price. 6 ROLLS for one money.

Tape is really good I use all the time

This tape is very disappointing. I've used this type of medical tape for over a dozen years but this is the first one without any adhesion. It lacks any stickiness. I need to put topical nerve pain relief cream for over night and then a gauze patch over cream with tape to keep it in place. It's to avoid the cream getting all over my sheets. This tape is only one I have bought that is not sticking to my skin or to the gauze patch. I've never had any problem until this one. It may help those using it for temporary use like a visiting nurse and IV and perhaps any relatively flat surface, but it is unlikely to stay in place if you are putting clothing over it. I have to use so much tape to just get it to stick until I get in bed and lie still until the topical pain relief cream has dried! It's a disaster and I go through a roll very, very quickly. It has ease of removal because it comes off as soon as you put it on. It lacks stickiness, adhesion, durability and so forth. I'm giving it 1 star because there may be times when you only need it briefly. When I bought it the price was lower than others so I will cross this off my list. Now I have to buy another box of it from a previous company. I will probably donate this one to a free medical walk-in clinic with BIG NOTE ON IT "DOESN'T STICK FOR LONG" -a warning of its faults, they may have uses for it. Maybe it could work for people that have had blood work done.

This tape secures well. It doesn't curl and wind up sticking to your clothes and pulling the bandage off. What I don't like is that the adhesive makes me itchy after a while. I have no allergies so it's not that. Find myself scratching and poking and picking at the bandage area after a while.
