The brakes themselves appear to be good quality rubber so I am giving 5 stars. It was worth a try, but I don't recommend it. I spent a long time carving out the sides to match, only to have issues getting the bolt through. I gave up and bought new rollerblades that have replaceable brakes. Adding this review for anybody else wondering if they work for the skates Sams sells. They have the right angles and look like they would fit, but they do not work.

Very easy to install. I haven’t rode my rollerblader yet after replacing the brake, so cannot tell how good it is in action but it seems to be of good quality. Adding a photo of my old (original) brake vs the new replacement installed. I was way overdue with replacement 😅

My 10 year old daughter is almost constantly on her Roller Blade "Bladerunner" inline skates and wore her previous brake to the nub. This brake pad works very well as a replacement. I initially tried to replace the brake without detaching the brake assembly from the skate but that was a frustrating misadventure. Once I took the backmost wheel off of the skate I was able to work with the brake assembly much more easily. The brake pad does come with a new screw and a nut to secure it in place. But, I found the new nut did not stay put as well as the existing rectangular nut that was in the brake assembly. So I just reused the existing nut. Once the pad was on and screwed down it looked just like the original (only not worn to a nub). She's been up skating on it again for a few weeks. and it seems to be working well.

I have this brake on my Rollerblade Zetrablades and wears slowly, slows and stop great and is all around awesome. But I recently bought a different brand skate for my kids that came with a brake made of hard plastic. Needless to say, hard plastic isn't an effective brake material by any means. With a hacksaw and about 30 minutes (very dense and high quality rubber isn't easy to cut through), I was able to cut a quarter inch off the bottom and make this brake fit into the other inline skate's brake housing. The skate, using this brake shoe, can now actually be used to slow down and stop.

For avid skaters like my wife, you just need to replace your brake once in a while. She was worried about compatibility with her skates, but these brakes fit easily with no headache. Good product!

I live in hilly Pittsburgh where crossing bridges and brakes for the switchbacks off a bridge means saving my valuable wheels. One of these only lasts 300-350 miles here and that’s because if there’s no sharp turns or pedestrians, I go full speed downhill. The only thing that could be better about this brake is a discounted value pack on Amazon. I bought a 4 pack for way less and actually rollerblade brand from and inline skate warehouse site. BUT the advantage of Amazon was that I needed ONE brake to hold me off while waiting for their shipment. Amazon was 2 days, Covid19 warehouse shipping was 6 weeks. It was perfect timing for both orders. I will surely order one here again.

This break was easy to install (took like 1 minute if even that) and it fit on my old rollerblade brand rollerblades from 20 years ago. Seems like it should last awhile, I have ridden on them two times and they work great.

Fit perfectly. Remember to slide it in rather than force it. A lot of people end up cutting it to fit. Just line up the grooves. It's tight, but it will slide in.
