Easy peasy replacement of the original electronic door closer that was installed when we bought the house over 20 years ago. The coding was straightforward, as was installation. The device hangs on a single screw, which was still in place from the old unit. This unit is well worth the price.

Have an older Craftsman opener (purple learn button). The old Craftsman remote would no longer close the door. Opening was iffy. Tried this one. Programming was easy and straight forward. As others have noted, the one button close does not work. It may work once after making sure it is activated but does not work after that. Not a show stopper but I did take off one star for that. Other than that it works great. Used the same screw holes as the old one. Even the dirt lines left from the old remote lined up with the new one.

Fairly easy to install. You have to get the color of the button correct on the motor. Mine looked red but is actually yellow. This was the only hiccup during programming.

This was purchased to replace a Craftsman keypad that stopped working. Followed the instructions and set up was a breeze. Took all of 15 minutes to program and install. My Craftsman garage door opener is from 1998.

My old garage door keypad opener, attached to my house, stopped working due to the battery wire breaking off up inside the remote. This is about a 20 year old opener so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the remote because who know how much longer the opener itself will last. At 17.99 minus a 5% discount offer I was suspect of just how good this thing would work. I should not have been worried at all. It was easy to install, the keypad lights up so you can see it in the dark and the keypad actually works better than the original that came with the garage door opener. There was one minor problem with getting it to pair with the my opener. There are 4 choices the keypad offers during the pairing process. The "learn" one which I thought would work didn't. In my case, I needed to pair it using the second choice which is 314 Mhz Security. This took about 30 seconds to correct and now it works great. I didn't take any stars off for that because it wasn't an issue to me. HINT: I paired the remote to my opener before attaching the remote to my house. That way if I needed to try a different pairing method/frequency or some other unknown issue, I could easily do so while I was on the ladder by pushing the pairing button on opener's motor housing which is attached to the ceiling of my garage. Since I had the remote in my hand there was no getting off the ladder and then walking back and forth to where I attached the remote to my house. After I paired the remote with the opener and saw everything was working as it should, then attach it to the outside of my house.
