Game List and Missing good titles.
I am rating this down because in my opinion, it is unforgivable for such early game compilations to miss so many of the system's top games. Several of my favorites are missing, including my personal favorite (Atlantis) and many of the most sought after titles today. When I purchased it, I simply assumed it would be more complete. There were not that many Intellivision games that I really want so they really should have put in the effort to have more licenses. Intellivision™ Lives! Fun...but not because of the Intellivison games
A few years ago, I purchased a used copy of this game for myself. I had my fun with it and then sold it, but was soon sorry that I had done so and so I recently ordered another copy. Quite honestly, most of the games on this disk aren't much fun because they can't be played properly without the Intellivision controller. It's not the fault of the programmers who really worked hard to make them work as best they could. A few of them are good considering that they were made in the early 1980's, but nothing worth spending hours playing. The real fun here is the interface and supplemental materials, which are awesome. There's a slick arcade / pizza store interface, 1980's music, interviews with programmers, archival footage, and commercials. For a small price, this is a fun history lesson about an early video game system that is well produced and dripping with nostalgia. Sure, you can play the intellivision games or torture your kids with them, but for me the real draw was the experience. Strange as it is, this is the only video game I have ever purchased for something other than the game(s) and had a lot of fun doing so. If you were a child of the 1980s and liked the games of your childhood, pick this up! It's cheap, it's a blast from the past, and you can show your kids what real gaming was "back in the day".

Great games / Sad interface
As I grew up with an Intellivision console, I was very happy to see this compilation, however as a GC release this is a flawed item. As the other reviewer stated it requires you to use one of the GC control sticks to replace the number pad, this was not handled very smoothly and just does not give you the control some of the games require, effectivly killing the playability for those games from anyone, beyond those in my shoes who played them before and really wish to play them again. That said, it also contains some of the great classic Intellivision games that don't require the number pad and are just as fun to play as they were 20 years ago. Astrosmash is still a game that can be played for hours it you are good/fast enough. Simply put, older games who had the system might enjoy this, but with the lack of the original number pad it just isn't as good as other classic releases (atari, namco) to pick up and play. Also the bonus items (old ads, a short history of the system) were a nice addition to add.

Only For Nostalgia.
To be honest, I liked this game, but for %99 of you that did not grow up with this game system, walk away.

Nostalgic Fun
Talk about a blast from the past! Intellivision was one of my favorite game consoles in the early 80s, so when I heard about this title I jumped at the chance to own it. The graphics are of course laughable by today's standards, but the games still hold up as fun and (for the most part) inventive, if not exactly challenging. And in addition to over 30 games, this title also has interviews with the programmers, a vido segment telling the history of Intellivision, and bonus commercials that you can unlock by achieving goals in some of the games. One negative is that only Intellivision titled games are present in this collection, so no Microsurgeon or Atlantis or AD&D (the best game for the sytem). However, there are still a ton of classic and fun games, including: Space Battle, Sea Battle, Utopia, Snafu, and Astrosmash.

Brings me back to my gaming days
Yes this game could have been made much better .. but if you're a true old school gamer, it's the nostalgia that matters. This game brings me back.. 4 out of 5 stars.
