How are they with being water resistant?

I see it says camo in description. i don't want camo. i want whats pictured. blue jean style. if i order, is it camo or blue jean style?

I ordered this item two months ago and mine is just like in the picture--denim blue jean with brown nylon brush protector in front.

Would these prevent thorns or pickers from penetrating?

Hey Mary! This pants offer protection from thorns like no other I’ve seen! I use them for work as a environmental consultant where I frequently do surveys in areas with lots of plants with thorns. I use to have to deal with getting stabbed and cut but with these pants I get to save a lot of skin on my legs. They protect very well against both large and small thorns. However, the trade off is they do get a little warmer with the added material. But overall I love them and use them for all my field work!

What’s the cut of the legs like? I’ve got pretty large muscular legs and I usually need either a loose or relaxed fit.

I found the pantlegs to fit well without being too tight - very trim. If you believe you would need a larger leg cut, you may want to try the brush pants offered by Duluth Trading - I have a pair of those & I find the cut of the pantlegs to be too loose.
