Very happy with the purchase
Iโm sure you are reading this review because you are like me and donโt want to spend the money to buy or rent the powered version. I bought this to install a water heater myself. I am not a plumber and Iโve never done a plumbing job before, but I was swapping out the exact same model so my job was pretty simple - it the copper and reconnect - so I was confident I could DIY and save a few hundred. This tool was easy to use, intuitive and I donโt regret buying it. Iโm 6โ 180 and It did take a lot of muscle on the final couple pumps but it worked despite the small space I had to work with. I used this to connect two copper fittings and it worked right away. Two months later no leaks.

Who said ProPress tools had to cost you a kidney?
Worked perfectly! I was quoted >$500 to fix a copper pipe that had burst due to cold winter weather. I watched a couple of videos online and all I needed was a ProPress crimping tool. This tool is a hand held hydraulic jack and it simply crimps the copper to the required amount to allow the o-ring inside the fitting to seal. It worked perfectly for the two fittings I used it for and saved me ~$400 (already paid for itself). If I was doing regular plumbing I probably wouldn't love using this tool but it was perfect to add to my toolbox as an occasional DIY-Homeowner.

Pleasantly surprised!
My husband has used professional commercial grade products like this at work and wanted to try this for some home remodeling work. He didnโt have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. He said it was very study, and well worth the price. Crimped perfectly and no leaks!

Game-Changer for Plumbing โ Fast, Reliable, and Leak-Free
I saw this on PBS 'This old House' and I was skeptical but decided to pull the trigger. The ProPress Copper Pipe Coupler is hands down one of the best innovations in plumbing. It eliminates the hassle of soldering, making installations quick, clean, and incredibly reliable. The press-fit connection creates a secure, watertight seal in seconds, saving time and reducing the risk of leaks. Iโve used this coupler on multiple projects, and it's never failed me. The seals are durable, efficient, and code-compliant, making them a must-have for both professionals and DIYers. If you're looking for a strong, long-lasting connection with minimal effort, ProPress is the way to go.

Pretty okay so far
Works pretty good. I did have one fitting that had a very tiny seep and I just repressed it at a different angle to fix. This might have been user error on my part by not ratcheting down hard enough the first time. I have no comments on its longevity. Planning a larger job with it in the future. If i dont update this review with angry comments assume it held up.

Works well for certain situations
This press tool works great. I used it to attach some press fittings on to some old copper pipes in order to attach pex. The only issue is that given the size of the tool, you won't be able to use it with pipe that is against a stud or wall. You need to be able to get the tool fully around the pipe. If your looking for an affordable tool to use with press fittings, I would recommend this one. Just know there are some limitations on where you can use it.
