A USA Grown Product.
This is high quality USA grown teff that we now buy in 25 pound bags. A great hot breakfast grain with more nutrition than oatmeal.

Great nutty flavor
Perfect size for us. The taste is fresh and that makes it a good value for the money

As expected
As expected. I would have probably used the lighter grain in my recipe, but I have no complaints about this product alone.

First time buyer (what to expect)
This was my first time buying teff. The taste to me is very neutral which can be a good thing because you can flavor it to your own liking. To me I didn't get much of a nutty flavor that others reported. I usually add in a scoop or two to my morning oats/quinoa fruit bowl mix. The texture of teff by itself is very unique if I had to think of something I would say imagine grits or polenta but a bit more earthy. If you're vegan or vegetarian this seems to be a great way to get more protein into your diet. I could also see this being good in soups and veggie burgers. Teff is also reported to be high in fiber, vitamin C, and iron.

I didn’t like it and here’s why.
I love alternative grains, and I am quite creative in the kitchen; however, I did not enjoy this product. The grain is the size of a head of a pin, at most. This means it is not easy to work with. It didn’t cook up into anything fluffy and appealing, but rather something thicker. Amaranth grain is like that, thick and sticky, which is why I often choose to use amaranth as a flour.

Tasty and fresh!
I purchase Maskal teff to grind fresh when I make gluten free flour mixes, and to use as the primary flour in gluten free chocolate chip cookies. It is richly tasty and fresh, grinding easily to a fine flour in my small coffee grinder. The flavor and grindability both indicate that it has not gotten moist, and is packed well.
