Picked these up for the living room and they've been a nice upgrade. Setup was straightforward — connected through the Govee app without any headaches, and once they were in, voice control through Alexa worked right away. The colors look great and the brightness is solid for a BR30 flood bulb. The app itself is surprisingly cool — more features than I expected and easy to navigate. Being able to dial in the exact color and dim level from your phone without any fuss is genuinely useful.

Works as expected, except when you turn them off, there no easy way to set the "default mode" or know what the last mode was. but except for that, the product is amazing, easy to use and setup.

I have tried multiple smart bulbs and generally do not have any luck connecting them to my Wi-Fi network, perhaps because it is MESH. Regardless, this one connected to my network immediately with the app, and I had no trouble installing it. It has many different brightness levels, settings and colors, and you can independently power the lights on and off with the app. Heck, for Christmas I can have 2 lights green and 2 lights red if I want (I bought 4 bulbs total). I particularly like these balls because of this: So in my circumstance, I needed them because I installed a chandelier that has 2 pot lights on the same switch. When I want the chandelier on, I do not want the pot lights on, so my Electrician suggested that I buy smart bulbs so I could independently shut the lights off and just have the chandelier on. These work just as he suggested. When I power on the switch, both pot lights turned on and so does the chandelier. I open the app and then I power down each pot light that is a smart bulb and so now only the chandelier is on. So far I highly recommend these bulbs!

I'm always doing a lot of projects, including recently drying in the patio under our 50' x 20' deck, so I've been upgrading a lot of lights and other electronics as I go. Although I don't love the Govee app, even though it's come a LOOONG way over the years, these bulbs seem really good. I'm using about 14 of these 1,200 Lumen BR30s around the house, including under my recently dried-in deck. I also have a bunch of other Govees around the house, and they've recently become my go-to color-changing bulbs. I even ditched my old Philips Hues to get more Govees. These 1,200 lumen BR30s are very bright with 4000+ K white color selected. They don't always say they're connected on my phone, but they still respond to commands. Additionally, even though Rufus (Amazon) says they don't, they do work with dimmers - well, at least they work with the Kasa Smart Dimmer Switch HS220 - I can't speak for any other dimmers (yet). With the Kasa HS220, they dim appropriately, regardless of selected color, but they must be set at 100% lumens in the Govee app, at which point I can use the Kasa to dim them from the wall switch or via Alexa through Kasa. I obviously know I can also dim them (change colors , etc.) with Alexa without the Kasa switch, but sometimes the wall switch is just easier for my wife because she can't always remember the Alexa routine triggers (I have a ton of smart products around the house and exponentially more routines - a lot with weird names). I've only been playing with these BR30s for a few days, so only time will tell if they keep working well, but I'll update my review accordingly, if they don't.

These lights are great for my husband andi. We are seniors and with these lights we just have to command them on and off and change to any color. We love them.

Light is very bright and you can adjust its power and settings. I have the 2 bulbs installed in floor lamps and connected with the tv lights so they are all synced together. Amazing product, a little bit expensive but worth the money.

I am a Govee fan, I have many of their products and so when I wanted to replace my dimmable bulbs to these I was so excited, but unfortunately they did not work with my dimmer switch. Whenever I lowered the lighting it would cause the bulbs to flicker and buzz and sometimes change colour. Some colours were worse than others (some didn't blink as much, some blinked and buzzed faster) so I opted not to use them in that spot. Overall, the colour was rich, the lights got to a reasonable brightness and had they worked correctly for my dimmer switch I would have loved them but I wasn't about to fight with lights that didn't work so they are back to being a normal bulb (for now) in that spot.
