Fissler Pure Collection Stainless Steel 2.2 Quart Stock Pot with Metal Lid

I have been researching a lot on stainless steel pots and pans for my nonstick Teflon replacements. This is a disk bottom stainless steel soup pot. I like how the lid is made. Tried it once with cooking pasta on it. High quality and it isn’t very heavy. I have an injured hand due to long term cooking. I recommend this pot. I used it for gas stove top.

I bought this set (one large pot and one small pot) as a gift for a friend. When I opened the box today to wrap it, I was shocked to see that the small pot looked clearly used. There are visible stains, discoloration, and wear marks on the bottom, as shown in the photo. This is completely unacceptable for a product sold as new, especially since it was intended as a gift. Very disappointed with the quality control.

Lid does not seal properly, when cooking rice or farro the inside bottom of the pan leave marks from the rice and the farro. To remove them you have to use BonAmi. Outside of pan turns blueish color even though we cook at mid range temperature on a gas stove. Very unhappy. Buy USA pan or Cuisinart made in France. We have been using the two mentioned pan for over 15 years, no problem with grains sticking or changing color.
