It is just for slippage and protecting floor below. This rug is fairly thin so there is really no sound dampening. I use dense foam like weightlifting mats to deaden sound, and place rug on top which works well for E kit pedals.

What are called the thnigs that lifts the drums like in the first picture ?? Anyone know how do i find them in amazon? Thanks

How easy is this to clean?

Like most drum rugs, it is not easy to deep clean. Just vacuum and wipe down your pedals once in awhile, and it will look good. The black color hides most dirt you will pick up at the venues if you gig.
