When it says 8x adaptor. what does that mean? is it referring to 3pin to 5pin dmx adaptor?

No it is not.... either you buy 5 pin or 3pin transmitter or receivers.... they make a 5 pin wirless... when it says 8x adapter.... i think that mean 8x piece set... but some one dose make a 3 pin to 5 pin adapter.... but it is not wireless.... I can only assume plugging a wireless transmitter or receivers onto one if the 3 to 5 pin adapters should work

What is the size of the charging plug?

These are not re-chargeable battery operated units and therefore do not have a charging plug. They do have a power supply that is used. Physical size is 60mm x 25mm x 48mm. Electrical size is 100-240vac at 250mA input and 5vdc at 1A output, therefore 5 watts.
