ROLLING STONES THE EMOTIONAL RESCUE Review: Great CD and sound - Great remastered CD. The sound is really clear and brand new. I am very happy and you can truly hear the difference in the remastering compared to my almost 40 year old CD Review: A great rocking album - Some of the reviews seem to regard "Emotional Rescue" as one of the Rolling Stones' weaker albums. However, I'm not getting that vibe at all. In fact, it fits in very nicely with "Some Girls" and "Tattoo You" as part of a trio of some of the band's best rocking albums. Disco was still raging, but even so, the opener "Dance" is still very catchy and sets the tone for a rollicking set. In addition to "Dance", you have a small foray into reggae as well, but the title track and the great rock and roll song "She's So Cold" help keep the pace going, with Ron and Keith's gritty guitars showing everybody what really good rock and roll guitar is all about, and a surprise at album's end, where Keith gets the last song, a jazzy (almost) tune with some sophisticated playing and even some real harmony vocals. Like fans especially love the era from "Beggars Banquet" through "Goat's Head Soup", this trio is equally enjoyable, straight ahead rock and roll like a million bands WISH they could do as well as Mick, Keith and company.

Almost as good as Some Girls....
This came out around May/June of 1980, and was the album that caught my attention as a teenager. Turned me onto the Stones, and made me a life long fan. There's only one dud ( " Indian Girl " ) on the whole album. It is a great Summer record ( blast this by your swimming pool on a warm sunny day along with the soundtrack to " The Harder they Come ", " Born To Run " and " Pet Sounds " ). " Let Me Go ", " Where The Boys Go ", " Summer Romance ", " She's So Cold "....so many great tracks that never get the airplay they deserve. My only complaint is that they didn't include the original poster that came with the album ( it's now reduced to just a few pictures used as the jacket ). One of their last truly "classic" albums.

Wonderful condition!
I've had many copies of this album in different formats over the years, as it's always been my fave Stones platter next to "Majesties". I thought it would be fun to also have the new heavy vinyl of it, and I'm not at all disappointed! Excellent condition and plays beautifully! Highly recommended.

Zero disappointments
For newcomers to the Rolling Stones, this is a nice mix of Stones musical flavors, sometimes considered a departure from their classic blues based rock jive, yet in actuality, its still full of their classic sound with only one feature experimental track, their title track (sounds similar to the "Miss You" sound from the prior "Some Girls" album, which was perhaps their biggest hit album of all time). For all the other Stones fans, this review just lets you know, yeah I love it, and more so than the album that came later including Tattoo You.

disco and rocknroll
here you can find the stones in their most "vain" album; even so they are great continuing the line from the previous "some girl" with disco tracks (dance), stone rocks (She's so cold, summer romance, the sublime let me go) a delicious piece of pseudo reggae (send it to me) and the ballads perfectly suited for Jagger (indian girl) and RIchards (all about you), even a blues, a great blues, something that hadn't done for years (down in the hole). for all this, not forgetting the glorious, hyperdancer, disco-falsete sung by Jagger title track, makes this maybe they're more unambitious record to that date. Mostly incoherent, you don't see (listen) a guiding line, completely opposite to a conceptual or at least attached record. But they are the Stones, still in the peak of their creativity; that's more than enough.

Muy bueno, quizás no es su mejor disco, pero trae algunas rolas rescatables... Sonido Stone!
