Em Clean: Mould, odour, and antibacterial cleaner for leather

I'm dead smack in the middle of bringing the entire leather interior of a very old car back to life. Most all of it is leather. I ended up ordering this stuff from the UK because I've been unable to find a product here in the US that specifically states that it is an enzyme cleaner that is SAFE for leather. Keyword bring "Safe for leather." A few companies told me to try stuff in an inconspicuous place. Sorry but if you have to tell me to see if I can mess up my leather to actually see if it's safe, I'm not interested. Thankfully, after a lot of poking around in various places and reading reviews that detail specialists seem to swear by this stuff, I bought some. The aroma is that of a delightful soap, perhaps a sweet cleaner. It doesn't smell bad at all, it actually smells quite nice. I tried this stuff on my riding suit first which has undergone 3 seasons of torture in all weather conditions. Thanks to the rain here where I live, it sort of started to smell a bit funky. But EM clean brought it back to life. It once again smells like leather, smells fresh and is happy and clean. Near as I can tell, this stuff seems to have some secret ingredients. I'm uncertain as to whether or not that happens to be leprechaun or unicorn blood, but it has to be at least one of those because this stuff is MAGIC. A little goes a long way and you don't need to smother the leather in it. Spray it a bit, follow the directions, come back a day later, and enjoy your leather being all fresh and clean.

Has worked wonders on a second hand leather sofa that reeked of smoke . I can’t honestly say the smell has completely gone but it’s hardly noticeable now. Early days yet (only two weeks), but enough left for a second treatment as and when.

One of my house cats, God bless her, was suffering from cystitis. Painful enough in ladies (and men) but can be lethal to cats. She had a few, little, unfortunate accidents, and I didn't realise at first what was causing my sofa to smell outrageously. Once tracked down I knew the product I had to buy, as I had used it before to 'freshen up' an old leather suite. Brilliant stuff. It worked of course. Yes, it is a small bottle, yes it is expensive, but it WORKS. So, have a smelly leather suite or....buy Em Clean. Simples ! I nursed my cat back to health and Em Clean did the same for my sofa.

Small bottle and quite pricey. I knew the size, but hoped it would be strong. However, I had 2 small 2 seater sofas to sort (they had slight patches on them to fix) and the whole bottle did not even manage to completely do one. It takes a long time & multiple applications to work and still did not do the job properly. It gets some stars as it did make an improvement - just no where near what I had hoped. I would neither buy again nor recommend. Though it may work better on a leather jacket or shoes...no idea.

9 months ago I bought a car, the car I absolutely loved! It did however have one major downside! The previous owner was a smoker, pet owner and downright smelly and disgusting human being. I washed the car top to bottom to get rid of the smell. Carpet washed it, cleaned, scrubbed with just about every single car care product you can imagine. After months of hunting and replacing the carpets I traced the smell to the leather in the car. When it got hot past 20 degrees it absolutely STUNK so bad! It started to kind of upset me, as I'd tried AutoGlym car leather shampoo and balm and scrubbed and scrubbed and nothing! It would dry and when it got warm in the car, the smell came back! So this product was my last resort before either replacing the seats or selling my pride and joy. Well I have to say from the bottom of my heart to LTT THANK YOU!! for creating such a product because it seemed to have worked! Not just mask the smell, but remove it! It was almost overwhelming getting in my car and not being able to smell anything other than a slight sweet scent! I've worried about this for a long time and today I cannot tell you how utterly overjoyed I am to get rid of that smell from my car. Thank you! I cannot rate the product any higher!

I would not recommend this product the smell is horrible it leaves a chemical smell I cleaned my leather dinning chair and it is now in the back garden due to the smell the sellers was not helpful or interested would not recommend this product or the sellers very dissappointed

Firstly, it removes some mould but is no eliminator. I didn't notice any difference in the odour either. On application yes, there seems to be a noticeable reaction to both the mould and odour, however, the day or days after, you can notice that the product is ok but not great.

I ordered this more in hope than expectation but it really works. It has solved unpleasant odour seeping from leather furniture that had become damp. Three months of other attempted methods had failed. As a free tip to anyone else suffering with this problem I found a small gauze bag of granulated charcoal (you can get it from pet shops) also did wonders for the fabric covered areas below the cushions. When the product arrived I was concerned that there would not be enough but a little goes a long way. I was able to treat two armchairs and there is plenty left in the bottle - though I hope never to have this problem again!
