Angel Mobility Lightweight Aluminium Folding Self Propelled Wheelchair in Metallic Silver Compact Design

Amazing product. Used this on holiday for my dad. Really light and sturdy as my dad is pretty heavy. Smooth and easy to maneuver. Really easily to fold away so saves space especially when we were having to store in the coach.

I’m really pleased with this wheelchair: it has several key features that have proven their worth in practice: - It’s really lightweight, - It’s super easy to disassemble and assemble. - It fits easily in the back of the car, behind the rear seat for example. - My daughter says it’s really comfy - as opposed to other wheelchairs she’s used. - It can be self-propelled which is important to give the rider some independence. My only gripe is that the handles are not very comfy, they’re made of a hard plastic and you can’t adjust the height, so they’re a little low for me (and I’m not tall). But as a lightweight portable self-propelled wheelchair for occasional use, it’s absolutely brilliant.

Fabulous wheelchair, exactly what I needed to replace my old one. Only put 4* due to delivery; i asked specifically for next day delivery which it stated but was 5 days late so was 5 days shuffling on the floor! Then the delivery driver left it downstairs, I’m in a first floor flat, after i put specific instructions to bring it up. Thankfully a kind neighbour did! But, it came complete, is comfortable, sturdy and easy to use. Though it’s wider than my last one, so do struggle getting through my doors without damaging the doors. I hadn’t checked measurements so that’s on me! The photo includes the cushion i bought but that’s for my own issues & comfort, it is perfectly comfortable as it is.

The wheelchair is very light and handy for transferring the user from house to car to destination and back. However, it is uncomfortable if sat in for more than an hour or so, even with an anti-pressure cushion. Build quality is disappointing - the brake mechanisms need constant retightening and the strap-retention posts on both footrests snapped off after a short period of light use. The supplier has not responded to contact about obtaining spares.

After suffering with sciatica I was unable to walk properly and needed a wheelchair to take on holiday. We were stopping in a small village resort in Greece which had rough paths, where the side roads were concrete and didn't see tarmac for 2 weeks. This wheelchair stood up to these surfaces and creaked a bit when going over lumps in the surfaces but it has served me well over this last fortnight. It was money well spent! The light frame which easily folded was carried upstairs by my husband each time we returned from going out, and I chose to sit in it on our balcony as it was more comfortable than the chairs on the balcony which were uncomfortably narrow for my hips. It more than lived up to my expectations.

Ok so choosing a wheelchair was tricky. We needed one for my wife after her op. Being a young (ok middle aged!) woman with perfectly good upper body strength she wanted one that she could move along herself aka self-propelling. It also needed to be lightweight (same reason) and for taking it out in the the car. Well l can honestly say that we are so pleased we chose this one! It does all these things! Naturally the wife needs help to get up and down curbs, it can't do that without someone tilting it using one of the bits at the back. But then that's the case with all self propelled isn't it? My wife and l love to visit car boot sales and she hasn't been able to go on walks for years - we can do both with this chair because it copes just fine on uneven ground l am pleased to say! Obviously the ride can get a little bumpy but we also use a pressure relief wheelchair cushion on the seat so that helps with that (thoroughly recommend you invest in one of these too). I should say that we are very careful not to drive into any deep ruts on the car boot field as we don't want to snap a front wheel or anything. And l don't know how this chair would manage on soft or soggy ground...but probably all wheelchairs would have an issue with that unless they were posh all terrain ones or three wheelers or something. Anyway. The only issue we have with this otherwise great chair is we can't adjust the height of the footrests. The fixings are too tight to loosen. Other than that we have been very pleased with it indeed!

The wheelchair weighs 13.8kg, not 8kg as stated in the item details. The seller explained that, "The net weight of the chair (minus rear wheels and footrest) is 8.6kg the gross weight is 13.8kg". I find this very misleading. It is not lightweight, it is a standard weight for a wheelchair. I returned mine.
