Not sure it. Arb has its own kind of awning.

Is there a way to mount this to round Yakima bars?

Yes, they can be mounted to a variety of roof racks, rails, baskets etc. Mine is mounted to a round bar roof basket with no issues. It will come with a manual that explains the 3 main mounting options, & option 2 is for round bar mounting.

It states that it is retractable, does it indeed retract under spring tension, and if so, has it held up well for those who purchased this item?

Not Retractable. You can roll it up manually that's it.
