This magnetic stand exceeded my expectations. The quality of the materials is noticeable from the first use: it is firm, stable, and the magnet is strong enough to keep the phone securely in place at all times, with no risk of falling. It is very useful for work or studying, as it allows you to place your phone at the ideal height next to a computer or tablet, making video calls, multitasking, and app usage much more comfortable without having to hold the device. These things a awesome. I needed 2 to mount a tablet and they hold up really well. These are a bit pricey but the quality is top notch. And for a slim as they are, you're getting a quality product. There are much cheaper mounting options but for a slim, sturdy and well built one, this is one of the better ones ive used.

This is a really high quality accessory for having your iphone at your fingertips but visible when using your laptop. Super convenient for 2 factor authentication moments and seeing incoming calls while using your laptop. The adhesive is very sticky but be careful if you are putting this on an older macbook pro with the slightly curved back as it will pop up a bit as that part is not perfectly flat. On my other laptops and newer macbook there were no issues at all as those surfaces are perfectly flat. I have 2 sets of these and I can move the folding part to my third laptop that I bought an additional mount for or if you misplace one you can easily switch them around. You can also use it as a standalone mount for the phone as the hinge will hold the phone at any angle for viewing. The Magnetics are super strong and hold the phone very securely.

The sticky glue does not hold up in the summer heat. As the phone gets warm, the metal pasties, which the magnet clings to, begins to move and to peal. It was an awesome gadget in the winter and the springtime, when the temperatures outside of the house weren't so high, but since the season changed it's not been an option unless I'm at home in an A/C controlled environment. That said, I got one for my mom who doesn't leave the house much, and she loves hers.

One of my favorite phone mounts. Its sturdy, simple and does what its intended to do. The magnet is also really strong, excellent for keeping it from letting the phone slide around or shift.

I think I'm more mobile than the intended audience. Slight bumps will dislodge my ipad from my laptop, even with 2x attached

Pros: - You can now stick your phone to the magnet, which isn't all that useful. CONS: - Very bulky, sticks out and gets caught on everything even when folded. - IMPOSSIBLE TO remove adhesive. I spent about an hour trying, scratched my macbook up a ton using the wiring they give you to remove it, and cut up my fingers from the wires. Even after you remove it, you're left with a mess of adhesive underneath that takes a further ~30 minutes scraping away at with Alcohol to make any progress. - You probably won't ever use it - I saw this and thought "Wow, what a cool useful productivity hack!" but it's an awkward position no matter where you put it, and not actually useful. - MESSES UP YOUR HINGE. With or without your phone attached, the extra weight makes your hinge a lot more loose and struggle to stay up. My brand new macbook pro 14 inch could barely support the weight of the contraption, let alone with my phone on it. With your phone, you're forced to keep it at an awkward angle otherwise your screen will fall down / all the way back. Overall, as a very tech savy person & always looking for little ways to increase my productivity, I would HIGHLY suggest not wasting your $30 on this. If you need your phone by your desk and propped up, just get a case with a built in stand.
