Great quality retro handheld with a collection of great Capcom games
This is the second device I’ve bought from Hyper Mega Tech/Evercade, the first being the Taito Super Pocket, and I am extremely happy with it. The device has great build, good design and a nice selection of capcom games for an amazing price. The build quality of the handheld is great. It feels solid in the hand, has a nice weight and it’s the perfect size for on the go gaming. It’s comfortable to hold during games and the buttons are nice and responsive, the D pad is very responsive and has a good feel. The only drawback I’d say is the buttons on the reverse of the device. They are not the easiest to use, but it’s fortunate that only a couple of games, as far as I can tell make use of these. The display is nice and bright, with good bowing angles and colors. Its small size has not bothered me at all considering how close you hold the device anyhow. It would be nice to have the option to change the brightness levels. Sound is pretty decent for a mono speaker and is nice and loud; I’d actually say I’d like it if the volume could go a little lower for night time gaming etc. at least there is a headphone jack. The battery life so far has been superb and as per the 4 plus hours claim. Your mileage may vary depending on the games played etc The game selection is superb considering the price point of the device and that all of them except mega man are arcade originals. Standouts for me include street fighter, final fight, strider, captain commando, ghouls and ghosts, and 1943. The only criticism is maybe some of the shoot ‘em up games are more suited to a taller screen… but there’s only a few of them and i really didn’t mind using the display options to stretch to full screen for these. It doesn’t look that bad and I think it makes them much more playable on this size of screen. The best thing regarding the games is that these are all fully licensed games… no downloading ROMs from dodgy websites and the developers get paid the money they deserve. It’s a win win. All in all it’s an awesome device for the price and I look forward to future releases of such devices from this company.

Pocket retro heaven!
Fantastic little pocket arcade machine with lots of classics included. Sound and graphics are really good but not being a great gamer I did find some games quite hard to navigate - but I think that's due to my lack of skill rather than the Super Pocket! Battery life seems incredibly good, it's sat on the shelf for quite some time between usage and still hasn't required a recharge. The screen is really clear and it sounds good despite the small size. Controls will come naturally to most prospective buyers but the best bit for me is the the chance to relive some of the best arcade games from the 1980s while sitting on the sofa.

Some great inbuilt games
Love the 3x shmup games (1944 etc.) Ability to have inbuilt games is handy as well as the Evercade cartridge slot.

I'm a fan now
Right. I don't review stuff very much but I love this little machine. Officially licensed bangers from Capcom like Mercs and Ghosts and Ghouls. Then the way it plays as it's just straight into the game and such a nostalgia rush. Plus, save states, multiple modes and the spot on controls. It has saved me from multiple boring conversations and caused me to have more interesting ones with people wondering what I'm up to, and then afterwards watching them getting totally locked in to it as well. It's superbly made - so far this is like a Gameboy quality thing. Then, you have the ability to add other carts. Will pop on a review later about one of those, but I've had such a lot of fun playing this and it's five stars plus. Get it for anyone that played games in the arcades as a kid, when arcades were a thing. Or for a kid who wants to play a proper game. Not joking I had a big birthday not so long ago and if anyone had bought me this instead I would have married her immediately, no refusals, plus would have deliberately ignored legal due care and process with my own assets, instead of them just getting me flipping socks. Which were actually fine as far as they go. Would have saved a lot of faff though. Enough about my life. This machine is mint. Buy your own birthday present is my hardworn advice, and this is superb.

Great product
Great little pocket gamer. Well made, with the added bonus of the evercade cartridge slot so a huge selection of games to choose from.

A bit of casual fun
Screen is good, and controls are good too considering the size. 2-3 good games in the list. Arcade versions of the games are hard, even when setting the console to easy mode. I haven’t tried additional games via cartridge slot. Looks like I will need to purchase an additional cartridge that has an SD card to add my own games to the system.

I like it
I like this, but the controls are not great. Difficult to pull off moves.

I would love to give this a higher rating as I like the concept. Big minuses for me is that you can’t change the controls. You can only view their setup, and that’s it. Also, the unit is too small for an adult set of hands. Weird choice since the target audience probably is 40+ males who grew up with these games.

Excelentes juegos aún cuando el mando es complicado y los botones de atrás están muy juntos

what a great nostalgic, portable and fun system to own! the capcom games that came preloaded on the handheld system are awesome and most are classics. secondly, the price the system is attainable at makes it a no brainer to buy. the games are loaded into the hand held unit and comes with a yellow dummy cart to keep dust out of the unit. if looking to add to your library, be sure to get the data east cart, lots of great games at an affordable price. im impressed by the quality of the play on the screen, the navigation thru menus and the overall build of the unit. my only negatives on it would be when using other carts that you purchase separately, theyre white which doesnt match the handheld. additionally, i found its size to not be the most comfortable-i have large hands and find it difficult to use the back shoulder buttons effectively while using the buttons on the front simultaneously due to their placement in the lower half of the back vs having them up higher.

I bought this Gameboy style cartridge system (Hyper Mega Tech Super Pocket: Capcom Edition) to try out the Evercade games before possibly buying one of the Arcades or TV console versions of Evercade. Honestly, I like it, it's a cool little time waster. I'm hoping in upcoming years they will release even more well known games. Imagine Paratrooper, Doom, Doom II or even Quake on Evercade. Duke Nukem 3D (PC) would be ideal, not the Gameboy advance Version on the cartridge in the video I posted. There are so many titles waiting to be ported over to #Evercade. I see old and abandonware type early PC games are also being made into cartridges. For now this little Capcom Edition Evercade player will do, but I expect I'll buy one of the newer console releases. Some of the games just play better with a controller. Arcade games play just fine. It's the back buttons that I find hard to press, this console could be an inch or two taller and could help those with larger hands by having the buttons placed in better locations. That's my only gripe. I own 3 Cartridges now, will continue to buy more as they are released (or re-released). Once they sell out they tend to not be available so my guess is Blaze Entertainment only makes so many cartridges for release. I hope they continue to make good choices as a company and also focus on making more video game collections for the users. The Super Pocket is an enjoyable system. Sound is good, visuals are good although a small screen size it's still playable, buttons are responsive, feels accurate, battery lasts many hours, I haven't charged it in a month and it's still holding charge after sporadic playing. Has a headphone jack if you want to play quietly, an exterior volume button for ease of control. An affordable mini Arcade Cartridge system. Biggest gripe is just the size of the body, with my larger hands it's harder to make use of the rear buttons. Still fun for games that only require the front buttons like arcade games. I've had multiple guests staying with us this year and noticed they would see it sitting somewhere, pick it up, turn it on and start playing the random arcade games on it. My nephews played it, my brother in-law played it. Cool little device, I might buy the Atari Edition just for. Ugh. Collecting purposes... 5☆☆☆☆☆
