Will 2 pair pack would have 4 pads sufficient for 4 doors or do I need 2 such packs?

Yes a 2 pair pack will work for 4 doors. We use this for our narrow garage and place them where the other car doors would touch and it’s enough spacing between the pads to cover the front and back doors. Easy to adjust placement and a secure hold.

Does this work with cars with one door? I see the fiat car in the picture with it.

It should. You could just tuck/pull the middle portion into your one door and close it to keep it secured (someone from taking them). They are magnets so they will stick either way.

Will it work without putting the joining piece inside the door jamb? I would use it in a private garage where being stolen isn't an issue.

Yes, you can use the two cushioned pieces, with the middle “strap,” on the outside of your vehicle if you’re sure nobody will take it.

Will this work with a Tesla Model Y?

Hi unfortunately cars with aluminum doors, the protector does not work. We recommend to some users to try with a small magnet (just be careful not to scratch the car)...it may work this way Thank you
