I’ve been using the OREiN Matter Smart Light Bulbs for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really impressed with them. The color-changing feature is fantastic, and I love the wide range of hues these bulbs offer. The ability to control them with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home is super convenient, though I do have a minor gripe with Apple Home not allowing me to directly choose RGB values. Instead, you have to guesstimate the colors, which can be a bit frustrating if you're looking for a specific shade. In terms of brightness, these bulbs are great when using the white light setting. They’re incredibly bright for 800 lumens, making them perfect for everyday tasks. However, when using colored lights, they’re not as bright as I expected. Still, it’s a small tradeoff for having such vibrant colors available. From an energy standpoint, I found these bulbs very efficient. With three bulbs running for about 5 hours a day, my energy cost is around $2 a month, which is impressive. Set-up was a breeze thanks to the QR code, and within minutes, my bulbs were connected and ready to go. For the price, I’d highly recommend these as a solid option for smart lighting—especially if you’re looking for affordable color-changing bulbs without compromising too much on quality. These WiFi smart bulbs are great, better than expected. The setup with Google home was easy thanks to the included stickers with the corresponding QR codes for each bulb. Got them for Halloween to have them outside at the garage and I will keep them up, sincerely they can be any color they work for special lighting needs and as useful bright lights too. They can also be controlled with smart speakers and the app, as well as being automated, ie. sunset will turn them on etc. They connected very well to the WiFi, even when they're installed outside tge house at my garage. They are dimmable and the color can freely be chosen via the app. Highly recommend these and will buy again. 5 Stars.

I bought a four pack because I wanted reliable lighting that I could control from a few different apps and with voice. Being able to change colors for different moods and scenes helps a lot, and I wanted something that would play nicely with Apple Home and the other assistants in my house. I also checked that the bulbs would fit my lamps, since form factor can matter more than expected. Setup was straightforward. I scanned the Matter QR code and added the bulbs to the Matter certified apps. They link up with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings, so I can reach them from whichever ecosystem I happen to be using. Being able to operate even if the internet is down because of local LAN communication was a nice reassurance. In daily use the color range is impressive and the whites cover a warm to cool spectrum, which makes it easy to set the right mood. The brightness feels similar to a 60 watt bulb, and the 9 watt rating is a clear saving. The music sync feature is a pleasant surprise, with colors shifting to the beat when I want a more dynamic vibe. The bulbs still look good with a steady color even at lower brightness, and the CRI feels solid. A small caveat is that these prefer a 2.4 GHz network and do not work with 5 GHz. Also wall dimmers usually aren’t compatible with smart bulbs, so dimming happens best through the hub or app. Other than that, the setup was smooth, the controls are responsive, and the variety of colors and scenes makes daily life a bit more convenient. Overall, it feels like a solid 5 star addition to my smart home.

Some years back I bought a kit of Sengled bulbs and hub and installed these in my home. I eventually moved away from the hub products amid security concerns to Sengled’s smart bulbs and a couple smart plugs that didn’t require the hub. I installed these products via Alexa, without using Sengled’s app. For unknown reasons, a couple days ago I discovered that all the bulbs and plugs were showing up in Alexa as “unresponsive.” I did a bunch of troubleshooting, even restarted my router, and I got everything working, but not for long. Yesterday I awoke to the same problem. After a bit of reading, I determined that the problem might be Amazon’s having chosen to end its support for Sengled products of all kinds. I decided to part ways with Sengled altogether and switch brands. I first looked at Linkind brand bulbs of this type and even installed the AiDot app on my phone and added the skill for it to Alexa. Then I bought these Orien bulbs instead, slightly cheaper, but still using the same AiDot app and Matter connectivity protocol. I expected a lengthy setup process- but boy, was I wrong! I was able to install these via the AiDot app in just a few minutes. Additionally, because I’d already linked AiDot and Alexa, when I added and named each bulb in AiDot, Alexa picked it right up! So much easier than I expected! The nice thing about these Matter devices is that I can control the lights via AiDot or Alexa, so if at some point Alexa no longer works and the skill gets removed, I can still control the lights with AiDot. I find I can control brightness, color and color temperature quite well via either Alexa or AiDot, although AiDot seems to give me more detailed control options than Alexa, which is fine with me. So far I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Let me preface this by saying I consider myself rather tech savvy... I have a home-lab computer running multiple Docker containers, including my own Matter server and Home Assistant. I have done all my networking throughout my home, and have very strong and reliable wifi throughout. As the title says, I REALLY wanted to like these, but I have to walk away and trash them after multiple Matter re-provisionings, and hours lost. The bulbs themselves are very nice, the colors are great, and the adjustable whiteness is amazing. When functioning as intended, they work very well. But unfortunately, that's where the pros end... I have had to factory reset re-provision each bulb over 20+ times over the past three months since I've purchased them. They sporadically lose connection to the Matter server (both local, and through Google Home), and will not reconnect unless they are re-provisioned, even after power cycling them. The connectivity is HIGHLY variable, as they sometimes last weeks, and others will last only an hour before needing re-provisioned again. Wifi connection is very strong to my routers, with the 'weakest link' being at -47 dBm. No firmware updates are available per the AiDot app, which I have also used to try and troubleshoot these issues... In summation... I really wanted to love these bulbs - they seem very nice. The connectivity issues and having to re-pair them to my Matter server constantly absolutely kills the experience.

I love that they’re matter compatible! I didn’t read the instructions first - these are my first matter devices so I didn’t realize you need to use your hub app of choice from the beginning. I ended up downloading the AiDot app and setting them up that way - the app interface was decent although the automations didn’t work as expected. No problem, now I have them set up with home assistant using matter and I deleted the app and disabled their internet access via the router just in case and now they’re fully local-only. Using matter beats soldering, flashing and programming like I used to have to do! The brightness of white is excellent. The rgb brightness is adequate for my needs.

Están increíbles, me ayuda mucho a elegir entre luz calida o fría cuando yo quiera, además de que el modo música está bueno para cuándo quieres poner otro ambiente en casa. La iluminación en colores no está mal, me agrada pero hay varios tonos donde siento que ilumina mucho menos, pero supongo que tiene mucho que ver con la colorimetría y el colo de las paredes. PEEERO lo único que no me gustó es que, a diferencia de otros focos, no lo puedes vincular directamente a Google home o smart things porque forzosamente te piden tener un dispositivo central al cual vincularse, únicamente pude usarlos a través de la app Aidot, la cuál también te dice que puedes obtener más información a través de un QR, el cual no pude usar porque a alguien se le ocurrió que era buena idea hacerlo exclusivo para Estados Unidos:) (están mal) En fin, los focos son muy buenos, los recomiendo mucho en especial si ya tienen más dispositivos inteligentes, sino supongo que otras opciones más económicas pueden ser mejor para gente no tan exigente. Si no les prende un foco prueben en otro socket ya que uno parecía no encender pero era porque mi socket tenía dos milímetros de más y tuve que lijarlo para que el foco hiciera contacto correctamente.
