Q: Is this the type that you can melt and the tips to close off?

This string is pretty doggone thin so I'm not sure if you could even tell if the ends were seared. I've never tried to melt the ends because it's not necessary.

Q: Will this fit 6/o seed beads?

No. I’m using pony beads with this. It’s quite thick.

Q: Can you use this to make waist beads?

I don't see why not. I made some wristlet key chains with it. As long as you don't pull extremely hard on the string it should hold up to pressure

Q: Can this nylon string be used for beading 6mm beads?

I think that would work. The string is pretty small.
