the size 1-3 years will it come up big on a 15month??

I have a 14 month old, quite big on him and he's tall for his age. Worth purchasing thou for when he's bit older

Does this hold the child upright in the water to start with as im looking for something that wont allow my 1 year old to put there face in the water

I've been using one with my 2 year old for the last few days and it just gives him extra buoyancy but I still have to hold onto him in the water. I've given him armbands now too which gives him a bit more independence but he's a bit off being able to keep upright/swim on his own.

can child wear this over splash about sun and wetsuit?

Yes. Plenty room provided you buy the right size- go larger than “ age” .

If you remove a couple of floats from the front, does this stop the child from tipping forwards in the water? I'm looking for my 21 mo. Thank you.

It may help if your child is quite light  - I have add below the instructions that should have come with the Float Jacket  - I hope this helps!

Learning to swim should be FUN and STRESS FREE! It is very IMPORTANT to stay with your child, holding their hands, to allow the child to gain confidence and to learn to control the buoyancy of the FLOATSUIT or FLOAT JACKET by finding their own sense of balance.

Whilst holding their hands, encourage the child to kick their legs and to let go of your hands, one at a time. When your child is ready, they will discover that it is quite safe to leave your side and to move freely around the pool.

Once your child is swimming confidently, begin to remove one or two floats (evenly to maintain balance), allowing them to become used to the reduced level of buoyancy BEFORE removing any more.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE SPLASH ABOUT INTERNATIONAL LTD RANGE OF FLOATSUITS AND FLOAT JACKETS ARE NOT LIFE JACKETS. CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES, WHILST IN OR NEAR THE WATER, BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT SWIMMER.
