does this come with a screw cap to hold in place or does it need to screw into a holder?

It comes with a screw cap and with an optional depth adjustment.

Does this switch simply connect to the live wire at both ends with no interference with the negative and earth.

I put this switch into a bathroom cabinet and yes put it only in to the live line and it works perfectly well 👍

Bought two of these in two transactions, wanted to see if it did what the reviews said first before I commitred to buying the two! It did! Perfect. Replaced a broken switch on work floodlights, the other replaced a switch on an anglepoise lamp. Would highly recommend this product. I left *SHEERNESS* blank as I dont know what that means.
