The sound quality of Yamaha NP15 is fantastic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the best quality of keyboard, I have ever owned. Having watched video demos on YouTube to find out how it was likely to sound in a home setting, this was the one for me. I'm covering the features most important to me, when I was deciding on which one to buy. HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS ITEM. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sound quality is incredible The lightness of the keys is a definate winner for me The NP15 has 61 keys, and the listing says thats plenty if you are playing pop music or light classical. The touch sensitivity means I can play really quietly, even without having to put headphones on There is a port for headphones, so you can also practice quietly Here is the size (1052 mm x 260 mm x 104 mm) (41-7/16” x 10-1/4” x 4-1/8”) Battery or AC Adapter operated AC Adapter included in the box (cable length I will list in more info) 15 Voices MIDI connectivity option Light weight GREAT FOR MY POOR DEXTERITY My biggest concern was; would the keys themselves be too hard to press down, I haven't got the best dexterity (I can only just about press a light switch, due to hypermobility). The advertising said that wouldn't be an issue. They were right. 👍🏻 TOUCH RESPONSIVE KEYS; 🎹 This mean that how hard YOU press the key down, will vary the volume that is produced, just like a normal piano. TOUCH SENSITVITY LEVELS: You can choose between soft, medium and hard, for them depending on your style of playing. POWER: Ac addapter is great so you don't have to rely on batteries, if you don't want too. You can get playing, right out of the box. POWER CABLE LENGTH: 1 meter 33cm. As that's not always mentioned and if you don't want to rely on extention cables, it helps to know this, depending on where you plan to put it. MUSIC STAND is included and is great, longer than on some other keyboards to. VOICES 15 voices. Not tons like on the other kinds of keyboard but this is definately quality over quantity PIANO; Concert Grand, Mellow Grand, Bright E PIANO: DX E piano, Stage E piano, Vintage piano ORGAN: Organ Principal, Organ Tutti, Jazz Organ HARPSICHORD/VIB: Harpsichord 8', Harpsichord 8' + 4', Vibraphone STRINGS: Strings, strings pad, synth pad It is also possible to layer the sounds, so you can have the strings as well as the keyboard options play at the same time. DEMOS Check out video streaming sites for at home demos and Yamaha's own website also has previews, of the voices. For me what it lacks in quantity of voices, it more than makes up for in quality. METRONOME Helps you to stay on time and gradually increase your playing speed, once you have fully learn the piece of music you are working on RECORD: You can record and playback your playing too. MIDI connectivity: There is an option for midi connection but that cable is a separate purchase. !! Important information about your choice of stand!! The book recommends Yamaha brand stand, to avoid damaging internal workings inside the keyboard. So not wise to screw a random brand of stand, into this keyboard. Highly recommend this item. THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW. I PURCHASED THE YAMAHA NP15, myself. Available seperately, L2-C foldable stand if you want some thing to be able to travel with. Other accessories are also available. Is it for you? If you want a ton of voices, and backing sounds. Automatic chords, then NO If you want the rich high quality sound, that really does sound like a piano, a church organ, with all the benefits of an electric keyboard (ie no tuning required, portablitlity) the its a giant YES YES YES. Highly recommend this keyboard for anyone starting out, who doesn't want a million buttons, but does want high quality sounds, and keys that are more accessible, if like me your dexterity isn't great.

Excellent keyboard
We bought this keyboard for our granddaughter for band practice and it is ideal. Her big electric piano is just too big and heavy to carry around so we are very happy with the Yamaha NP-15 which is a lot lighter and shorter but actually has a better sound than the big one with lots of extra features. Our granddaughter is thrilled with it and that is what really matters.

Good value. Good Electric Piano sounds
I use the good Electric Piano sounds mostly. Lightweight overall and attractive in white. The size of the white notes are smaller/thinner but for playing at home with inbuilt speakers it’s good to keep the keyboard near to you.

Great sounds but narrows keys = toylike action
Excellent sound quality and construction, but the keys are too narrow, especially its black ones. I bought this as a change to my Casio CTS-1 - on balance the Yamaha action is second best, feeling much more toylike and slightly uncomfortable. That’s a shame as the Yam really sounds fantastic especially the powerful organs. Piano sounds are smooth and resonant too. It also looks lovely in white and seems well made. The Casio’s action stands up very well as a portable alternative to my Kawai ES-8, sadly the Yamaha falls short on genuine piano feel.

Very light and portable
Yamaha always make good pianos. This model has a great sound especially when you layer the piano and strings together (love it)

A great digital piano for beginners (and maybe a those a bit better than that)
I had a Yamaha EZ220 which was an excellent instrument for a complete novice like me with its light-up keys and inbuilt songs but I was disappointed by the quality of the (392!) voices. I read lots of reviews and the NP-15 (and its predecessor the NP-12 and its big brother the NP-35) consistently got excellent reviews for the sound it produced at this price point. I've not been disappointed. Although there are only 15 voices to my ear these are all very good and true to the instruments they are emulating and for me they cover the range of voices I wanted - piano, electric piano, organ and harpsicord. The ability to record and play back my practice sessions should help me improve my playing and the ability to layer two voices (say piano over strings) will add some depth and variety. With only 2*2.5W driving the speakers the voume isn't very loud (the vibraphone particularly could do with a bit more volume) but it's more than adequate for domestic use but if you want more volume you can spend a bit more and buy the NP-35 with its 2*6W. I would say this is a more basic keyboard than some of its competitors around this price but I think this is more than made up for by both the quality of the voices and the build quality.

Yamaha Piagerro NP15
I love it...a lovely tone and a 'real piano feel' to it. Great value for money. I'm a learner so it's perfect for me.
