L'Oréal Paris Excellence Crème Permanent Hair Dye, Radiant At-Home Hair Colour with up to 100% Grey Coverage, Pro-Keratin, Up to 8 Weeks of Colour, Pack of 3, Colour: 3 Natural Darkest Brown

I used to use an "easy peesie" brand of Dark Blonde dye but after they merged their dark blonde options into one, I stopped using both the permanent and semi permanent as it turned my hair distinctly gingery. I've just used this 6.11 Ultra Ash Dark Blond option and I'm very pleased so far. It's covered my greys up quite nicely and I like the colour - the cool ash claim has definitely worked! Application was good, it's not runny and I liked the comb applicator that comes in the box, although you do need to squeeze quite hard to get it through to the ends, it will be really helpful when it comes to doing my roots in a few months time! It didn't drip while I was waiting the 30 minutes for development and it washed out well. The blue/purple mask was good, but do watch out as it does stain any surface it finds! I'll be continuing to use this colour going forward. Hopefully the photos are helpful - I'm naturally light brown, but find light brown dye too dark. 6.11 Ultra Ash Dark Blond is perfect for me to get an all over light brown looking colour without too much gingeryness.

This is the best box dye out there, took me from a washed out semi permanent copper to a gorgeous medium ash brown. It’s got me back to my natural colour. The mask that comes with it really cancelled out any brassiness. If you’re looking for a cool toned ash brown, this is your dye.

This is a very good quality hair dye. I prefer the ash tones because they don’t turn warm after a few washes. I use a blue shampoo once a week to keep the colour from going brassy and it works perfectly with this shade. It’s easy to apply, the conditioner smells amazing and the result looks like a salon colour if you apply it correctly. Much cheaper than going to a salon & the finish is just as good. Hey all, so I had very washed out dyed red hair & fancied a change so chose brown. I foolishly went for a different brand and the first photo is the 'brown' it went to. I felt it re brought out the red! In the daylight it just looked red I was gutted. I did a LOT of homework to find the right brown by this brand. I really wanted to try the new universal one but it seems to be sending hair black which was my worry with any brown dye. I Chose tempting chocolate as it didn't have any worrying words like ash or ice or frosting etc which I learned is why my red got revitalized. I was still worried this might go black but I am happy to report it is brown and no black in sight! It is sooooo soft I was to keep touching it all the time :) the shampoo with this is brilliant BUT should have a screw lid so we can use for next time not all of us need a whole tube of it. The conditioner is lovely. My hair has been washed three times since putting this dye on and all signs are super positive. It looks less darker than the second photo now, it is still a bit darker than the box BUT I have brown hair which is what I wanted for now so I am super happy with it. I might use a lighter shade of brown down the line I am not sure yet I am growing out a buzzcut so never know with me what I will try/do next. But overall this for me is the adult dye , it does what you want/need. Lives up to the beauty promise, lush hair after. This is the only dye I will use from now on the others I have tried & they just don't last & don't condition my hair like this dye line does.

As brunette that is going grey, my hair throws a lot of red with most box dyes, especially those with 3 in the formula. This hair dye grips most of my greys and softens the orange tones that box dyes can throw up. I used to use the toner but I found my hair went too dark, so I just add a small amount to the roots.

I love this colour. Bit darker than expected,but I don’t mind. Colour great and leaves a lovely sheen. Easy to apply.

Terrible. Bought dark ash brown it made my hair lighter and literally turned my eyebrows blonde Do not recommend!!
