Fly Max outdoor fly trap
I have now had a couple of these fly traps out in my garden since 22nd June 2025. The fly trap works very well, and catches loads of flies. I have noticed that there have been far less flies coming into my house this summer. The fly traps are easy to set up. Simply twist top, and add water to just over half full. Hang the fly trap up on a tree branch or post about 10 meters from your house, and make sure it’s high up enough so pets cannot get to the fly trap. Secure with extra string or cable ties if needed. I recommend hanging at least two fly traps if you have a large garden. I put one in my front garden, and another in my back garden and this seems to work well. The fly traps can last a few weeks. Mine are still catching flies. Top up with some water if this gets low as the water helps the flies to drown. After a few days of being up, there is a smell from the traps as the dead flies start to rot in the trap. This smell attracts more flies. You only get a whiff of the smell once you are about 1-2 meters away from the trap. Be mindful of your neighbours and keep the fly traps away from their houses and boundaries to avoid them experiencing any smell. For disposing these once full, simply remove fly trap, close the lid down, seal the trap in a black bin bag and put in your refuse bin.

Very effective. Really work.
I am amazed how many flies trapped . The traps continue working for long after the 3 or 4 weeks that the instructions promise. Highly recommend.

Great item!
Take a few days to work but once they start to work they are amazing! Well worth the money and easy to use... top the water up with an empty pop bottle when the water gets low and it lasts ages.

Sorry not fit for purpose
I bought 6 of these and set them up and put them in various sunny position. 9 days later they have only caught 18 flies between them. The containers themselves are ok but the powder that you mix with water is useless. It simply not attractive to flies. If I put the dogs bowl of food out in the garden there are 10-12 flies all around it within minutes. I have now bought a Red top fly catcher which so far working far better

Works incredibly well, but not for sensitive noses
These traps are seriously effective. Within a day or two of hanging them up, I noticed a big drop in the number of flies around the garden. They attract a lot and they fill up fast, so they definitely do what they promise. The only downside is the smell, especially when the weather gets hot. It’s not unbearable, but you wouldn’t want one hanging too close to where you sit or eat. Best placed a little further away from main areas. If you can manage the odour, these are a brilliant solution for keeping flies under control outdoors.

definitely keeps things interesting!
I’m still not sure whether this actually catches the flies or if it ends up attracting even more—but it definitely keeps things interesting! It does seem to draw them in, but I couldn’t quite tell how effective it was at reducing the overall number. If you’re curious to try something different for fly control, this might be worth a go, but my results were a bit mixed.

Very efficient
Excellent at attracting flies, but a bit smelly as it fills up.
