1UP Sour Challenge by FaZe Rug- Extreme Sour Candy Experience, 2-Pack

Well, where do we begin? I had heard much hype about this “sour” candy from TikTok. Decided it would be great to try for our podcast to garner some attention. Well, I decided to take a walk on the wild side and try these "sour" candies. Let's just say my taste buds went on a vacation to Mildville. If these candies were any less sour, they'd be auditioning for a role in a rom-com as the sweet sidekick. I'm pretty sure my grandma's lemonade packs more of a punch. If you're seeking an adrenaline rush, these candies might not be your best bet – unless you're an adrenaline junkie for subtlety! I tried these "sour" candies and I have to say, they must have mistaken a lemon for a marshmallow! I was prepared for a sour explosion, but I got a gentle "Hello there" from my taste buds instead as if Obi Wan had dropped from the ceiling to foil my plans. If these candies were any tamer, they'd be giving motivational speeches to other candies on how to be less intense. If you're looking for a thrill, you might want to consider talking to a pineapple instead. The experience was like a roller coaster... at a retirement home. The level of sourness was so low, even a cucumber would've blushed in comparison. These candies must have missed the memo on what sour is supposed to taste like. If you're looking to impress your taste buds with something milder than a breeze on a summer day, these candies are your new best friend. As someone who grew up on warheads and knows sour, I can tell you I have a taste for these things. I absolutely love sour. One look at my wife and you would know I know what I’m talking about. After downing a bag of warheads, toxic waste gummies and smog balls, I felt a little disappointed. None of them were really that sour. The warheads are intense I’ll admit, but short lived. This product, however, seemed different, and fun!! I liked the packaging and the design, it felt like a novel magical experience. I purchased it on a whim, then read the reviews…. The reviews are terrible and I understand why. They are sticky, and have the quality of a warhead, but double the price. However!!! They last 5 times longer than warheads!! And they’re sour AF. As an overall experience, I wish there were more than 6 gummies, but otherwise they’re delicious !! Loved it! Definitely worth a purchase!

i got two packs to do the challenge with my 8 year old niece and my sister. we all popped them in our mouths and i was fighting so hard to keep a straight face while they looked like they were sucking on a regular sweet candy. after the timer went off they both said it wasn’t as sour as they expect and i SUPER impressed with their sour tolerance because it was the most sour thing i have ever tried. since the pack i got my candy from had a few pieces left, they tried mine and almost immediately spit it out. it was much more sour than their candy was. the whole group challenge was a wash because only half of them were sour. what a waste of money.

They are delicious and I hate that I can only get six at a time for $17. I just wanna be able to munch on these to get my sour fix but instead I just hate to stare at the photo and wish I was made of money. I’m trying to put like 10 down at once and enjoy the flavor. I don’t much about marketing but you’ve got an untapped market in you sour lovers.

The candy itself tasted good but it was not sour. My 3 year old was even upset it wasn't sour and he did the 2 like its instructed. The neutralizer tastes like candy cigarettes in water which was pleasantly delightful. But the candy was just not sour. It was definitely not worth the money for it.

I got this for my son because he likes sour candies and is a Faze fan. He got me to try it too. I also got him the Mega Sour raspberry bombs. We tried those the day before. Those are, by far, the most sour thing we've ever tasted. We wanted to try those first because the 1 up was supposed to be more sour. We made the anti sour drink and tried 3 gummies a piece. The only face we made was that of confusion. They were no more sour than sour patch kids. War heads are more sour. The drink was not needed. The only reason I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 is because the drink really works. We tried it with the mega sour bombs and it helped instantly. That was impressive. I don't know if we got a bad batch, but to us, these were over hyped and over priced.

Nothing wrong with it per se, but nothing great either. Feels like a budget product. You get what you pay for. This is what I think.

For $30, you basically get 12 warhead gummies. For the amount of candy you get, this should be maybe $1 at the absolute most. They advertise as if this is some type of extremely sour candy that requires a neutralizing agent (spoiler alert, their powder is pretty much just sugar that you mix in water). In reality, it is a mildly sour candy with a semi-plastic flavor. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody looking for sour candy or any type of candy in general. If you are like me, you picked this up trying to find something incredibly sour. If you want something mild, keep with the classics like sour patch kids or warheads. If you wants something incredibly sour, go for the Barnet mega sours. Just avoid this horribly overpriced "candy" at all cost.
