Review: Great, great book on these fabulous cars - Great, great book on these fabulous cars. Photographs superb and a reminder of a great era in motor sport. Buy this book!!! Review: The book is not top notch in terms of paper quality, cover quality (no dust jacket, printed hard back of "bargain table" type) nor photo reproduction. Brief 2 page synopsis of championship cars/years. Much better writing has been done and continues to be done on Ferrari racing. In addition, take this point for what it is worth from a former US expat in Italy. In Italian, books of this genre are often written in formal prose and in general they do not translate well into English. Despite Mr. Newman's effort I find this to be the case with Sig. Mapelli's writing. I have become cautious about picking up books from Giorgio Nada Editore since they mostly follow this model of Italian Author with translation into English with similar results. Save your money on this book and go after one of the many other great Ferrari, F1 or sportscar racing books out there. It is not a must have for an enthusiast of any of these racing genres.
