HP CP5225dn Colour A3 LaserJet Professional Printer

A high quality A3 colour laser printer with duplex (two sided) printing. The printer is quite large and heavy, around 40Kg, so it certainly needs two people to handle it. There are two hand slots on each side to enable it to be lifted from its box .Set up is easy as it is all ready to go with toner cartridges pre loaded. On Windows 7 Pro 64 bit all that is needed is to connect a USB port on the computer to the printer (do remember to order separately a USB connector as one is not supplied with the printer and it supposed to be a maximum of 2M) power up and the software loads from Windows Update within five minutes. The enclosed driver CD is not needed and in fact states that it is not compatible with Windows 7. Print quality using HP colour laser paper is excellent. There are two paper feeders and I am using the main tray (2) for A3. No complaints so far!

Excellent printer for the home office, produces good vibrant colours and prints on both sides without any sign of jamming even on A3, all on inexpensive 90g paper . I bought a refurbished one from Kinete which was in nearly new condition, with almost full toners and was about half the price of a new one. Very happy with my purchase so far.

Very robust, professional machine. Easy to set up on the network, and produces high quality colour print. You definitely get what you pay for.

Big but the print quality is excellent. Just bought an extra paper tray so can have A4 and A3 at the same time. Recommended

Es una impresora buena, de las pocas, por no decir la única que imprime SRA3 a ese rango de precio. El software es terrible, los drivers son una patata, pero la impresora está bien.

Privilégiez une connexion RJ45 mais ça fait le job

L'imprimante semble etre tres bien, mais je trouve que ce n'ai pas tres claire ce qui concerne les references ils y en a beaucoup et pas tres bien explique, facile de se tromper,

Mit knapp 40kg ein richtig solides Gerät. Relativ leise im Vergleich zu den bekannten Klapperkisten die man von HP so gewöhnt ist. Ausdrucke sind sauber und schnell auch auf A3. Die Installation am Windows Server scheiterte Anfangs, da eine völlig veraltete Treiber-CD beilag. Stand 2008! (7 Jahre !) Mit neuem Treiber aus dem Internet ging alles glatt. Die Patronen sind vorinstalliert. Bei unserem HP M476 Color Laser war das auch so. Allerdings ist uns sehr negativ aufgefallen, dass das Starterset der Tonerpatronen nicht leer gedruckt wird. Wir vermuten, dass der Chip in den Startpatronen auf verkürzte Seitenleistung programmiert ist. Das ergab sich daraus, das wir die Startpatronen und die neuen gewogen haben. Die Differenz ist viel zu gering. Also sind die Startpatronen nicht leer sondern der Chip sagt die Patrone ist aufgebraucht! Das Preis/Leistung-Verhältnis ist insgesamt OK man bekommt eine richtige Druckmaschine fürs Geld

Der Drucker ist 2014 auf den Markt gekommen. Der Druckertreiber ist ein Standard-Treiber. Ich habe noch nicht geschafft, die Papierformate in den Magazinen (inkl Zusatzmagazin) so zu konfigurieren, dass der Treiber automatisch auf das richtige Fach zugreift (manuelle Eingabe bei jedem Druckauftrag nötig) Druckbild ist gut (600dpi) aber nicht Fotoqualität) Der Gerätepreis und die Kosten des Toners sind viel zu hoch.
