Over time, all alcohol testers need to be calibrated to maintain accuracy, even police units. For BACtrack Mobile, we recommend getting it calibrated once a year, though it may continue to give accurate readings for longer than that. Please refer to the BACtrack website for calibration instructions or contact BACtrack Customer Support by emailing support(at)bactrack dot com.

Can more than one person have the app / access to readings. e.g. for monitoring another person for interventions?

I bought the Bactrack breathalyser for my Husband for Christmas and it is compatible with iphone and android telephones.

I am getting a positive reading when I have not had any alcohol. Is this common or is my unit faulty?

Hi There, is not common at all. If it's a Vio, take off the battery and check if they still good. Low battery can make that mistake. In any case, reset the app doing this: hold the home button and lock screen button (for iphones) until the black screen with the white logo comes up. For android check how to reset.
