It was more than suitable.
The red bulb is used for when puppies eyes are first opening as white light can irritate their eyes. I used it from day 9 through 16 of puppies, then changed back to white bulb.. The heat is powerful and more than good enough.

Does what is needed and provided plenty of heat for a litter of new puppies. Initial order arrived damaged (it happens) but replaced without difficulty.
