flakey, Dualit customer service don't pick up the phone
The machine is q bit flakey - the programming doesnt work properly, whatever you do the initial dispense is an espresso and you have to keep pressing to get a lungo.. anyway, it stopped working after two months and the suggestions from the diagnostics didnt work. It actually says, 'two lights flashing - faulty flow sensor - call Dualit customer services' . Well, good luck with that! If you have a spare few hours being told your call is important to them. It may be an airlock but my previous machine, different brand worked 5 years without a problem so not impressed with either the failure or the service support

Cannot get the large dosing to work.
Really nice machine. Quieter than my Krups Pixie. Would have given 5 stars, but I cannot get a 140ml or large cup of coffee. Have to double click the Lungo and wait for it to finish and then double click again. So the Lungo only dispenses 70ml after each double click. Tried double click and holding in for five seconds on the second click and double click and holding in for five seconds after the double click and each time I get 70ml maximum. Anyone any ideas.

A ok machine but drip try too small and buttons can be fiddly.
This Nespresso compatible pod machine is good at making coffee/tea and very quiet compared to my old one. It makes a good decent coffee but for some reason the 10 strength pods which I use for a cappuccino or latte doesn't seem to taste as strong in this machine as they were in my old Nespresso machine for some reason and crema is not as thick and doesn't last as long as before.. You can adjust the amount of coffee you want in a cup by setting up a memory dose or you can leave it to the factory set level which are ok in my opinion and if you need more in a cup just push the button again. There are some things that I'm not over the moon about. The first one is the drip tray because it is really small and won't support a cappuccino cup as it should with a wide top as it almost tips over off the drip tray which is not great. See photo. The second thing is that you can't get a normal size mug under the coffee/tea dispenser without removing the drip tray but the photos on Amazon shows you can use it for tall drinks which is very misleading. And the last one is that the two buttons can be a bit fiddly to push as they feel spongy and don't seem to click as they should and they feel like the bubble buttons you get on a cheap remote control for soundbar etc ? You really need to push them in to disperse an expresso or latte and tea. As for tall drinks you need to push the coffee button twice but sometimes it doesn't work because the button don't seem to click as I said previously. This is not a major problem but you just need to remember to be firm with the buttons. This machine looks really nice in black and chrome and looks expensive. Overall I'm ok/happy with this coffee machine it's just the 3 or 4 little irritating things that could be a lot better. Update. I decided to return it and i paid a tiny bit more and got a lot better machine 🙂.

Great machine
The Dualit coffee machine looks to be great quality and I am very happy with it after the first few days. We also purchased a Dualit milk frother which is also very good. We previously had 2 nespresso milk frothers which left burnt milk and then stopped working. The Dualit one looks to be much better and was cheaper.

Really not very good
I’m sorry to say that this machine is not very good. After 5 years of using Magimix machines (which incidentally have become outrageously expensive, but that’s another issue) I went down the lower cost route, and have regretted it ever since. The machine doesn’t deliver on its promise of a lungo with two presses of the button. That’s not really a problem as you can wait for the first espresso dose then press again but it simply doesn’t deliver on what it promises. The machine even stopped working altogether after three weeks, but switching off and on again and waiting 24 hours seems to have cured whatever the problem was. The coffee it delivers isn’t really as good as my old machines - insufficient foam (which is where the bitterness is) for my taste. I haven’t used the tea making function: I’m not sure it’s a function that’s needed when the alternative is a bag in a cup which is no less effective. On the plus side - it’s cheaper than other models, but like they say you get what you pay for. I’ve already bought a Magimix machine ready for when the Dualit breaks.

Great compact coffee machine.
This was bought as a gift as I already have one and love it. It is compact and not in the least bulky. It sits on the work space with plenty of room. Heats up quickly and the pods make it so easy to dispense coffee. Great value for money.
