It spreads beautifully with a palette knife, holds peaks and swirls perfectly without slumping, and stays flexible once dry so it doesn’t crack even on larger or slightly flexing canvases. I love how it sands super smooth if I want refined edges or builds up thick for dramatic 3D effects. Dries to a nice white base that takes acrylic paint like a dream—no flashing, no weird sheen, and excellent adhesion. I’ve even mixed in a bit of acrylic gel medium or fine sand for custom grit, and it handles that flawlessly too. Drying time is reasonable (a few hours for thin layers, overnight for thicker ones), low odor, easy cleanup with water, and it’s readily available at any hardware store. As an artist on a budget who creates abstract and mixed-media pieces, this has saved me tons of money while giving me more creative freedom. Highly recommend to any painter looking to experiment with heavy texture—it’s durable, versatile, and performs way better than I ever expected from a spackling product! If you’re into textured art, grab this and play—you won’t go back. 🎨✨ Review: Amazing product! Easy to apply and finishes beautifully.

Worked well on cracks.. doesn't sand great.

It should arrive like icing ready to be spread on a cake. I applied it with my finger to corner and stress cracks in the drywall. We had some pretty major cracks that we inherited with a new to us house. This seems to have concealed the cracks. I'm very happy with the results. A good value for the money and it looks great!

So far I like it and find it easy to spread. I was doing some larger repairs/cracks so I also used fiberglass mesh tape beneath it. It definitely has a different texture than your everyday spackle. More rubbery. I'm also applying very thin layers in increments & feathering to avoid sanding. I'm not convinced about the ease of sanding & allowing 12 hour drying time between coats. If those cracks never return, mission accomplished 😁
